I read that interview that Damien gave in December 2009 and I loved it. He explains why he deals badly with music industry and pushy managers and with all that "be what fans and the world music wants you to be". After reading it, I understand why he hasn't recorded anything just to please others, and admire him for that. It's cool that he's having fun collaborating with whom he feels like while doing his own stuff at his own pace. Yeah! Melanie sings much better in French and the song is nice.
He wrote "Everything You're Not Supposed To Be" and Uncomfortable" for Melanie Laurent, you can also hear his voice in a chorus in "Il Fait Gris" he might be backing vocals in some other songs in the album, but I'm not sure.
The more I listen to this song the more I like it. And, it is nice to see that Mélanie inspire him to write a happy song. I love Damien's intense, poetic and sad songs, but a man cannot always live heartbroken.

It`s because Lisa is an international living treasure. Her passion and soul comes out in the voice and in her unpreteniously stunning grace and command. Regardless of who`s solo career is going where is irellevant. They are all talented, but some arrangements and vocals are always going to compared to others or whom would be better suited for a paticular piece. Their are also the hypothetical variables.. eg: If Grey room was a female duet, that included Lisa and a full compliment of strings/violin? It is what it is...and we move on. I am a fan of Lisa as an artist, and will see her in concert again this summer. But, this reunion you so wish to happen between Lisa and Damien is between them, no-one else. She's clearly moved on, we don't know about him. The chemistry you so want from them, will have changed, or won't even be there if they meet again. Let go.

Melanie Laurent is the actress who played the part of Shosanna in Inglourious Basterds and the Interpol agent in Now You See Me. She's actually a little out of Damien's league to be perfectly objective, and I have a Damien bias.
