    Thank you for this amazing tutorial. I am using a Yarn Art Flowers Alpaca in color 412 which starts with dark grey and fades to a beautiful light blue. I think this shawl looks like a Snow Queen Shawl in these beautiful grey’s and ice blue colors. Suck a beautiful shawl pattern ❤️

    I just finished this shawl, only used different color. Turned out very nice, I can wrap myself in it a bit and now I'm gonna make 2 of those with a hood for my girls and they can't wait already (7yrs and 4,5 yrs old).
    PS. Very nice video, easy to follow, you explain everything very well. Thank you and greetings from Poland.

    I'm doing this shawl now (thanks for posting!) And i found a way to do a back double crochet on the start - instead of turning after the chain one on row 4, you don't turn, do a front post double crochet, and then turn. Perhaps you can try it and see if it works for you!

    Beautiful shawl I just don't like working with thin yarn I wonder if it would come out the same with a heavier weight yarn like a 4

    • @jb6712
      @jb6712 5 лет назад

      It must work with worsted/4 ply yarn, because that's what she's showing the tutorial with. I have to work with heavier yarn, too, so am going to make it with worsted weight yarn and an I hook.

    I have a question. Do you put a trim around this shawl? Also my ending and beginning rows want to curl in. How do I fix that? I thought I was crocheting tight so loosen my work but still curls.

    • @Meladora1
      @Meladora1  Год назад

      No I didn't put a trim. Curling happens when your stitches are made to tightly, so there's not as much yarn in that space. For the last rows you can back up and redo them looser, but only if it's really bad, because in time all stitches will get looser so it may fix your problem in time.

  • @jessthom1016
    @jessthom1016 3 года назад

    😔 so I’ve been doing and undoing rows 1-4 and somehow I don’t have enough stitches in row 3. I’m not sure how… I do 8 have 9… add 2… then when I’m doing the front post and shells I don’t have enough stitches. After row 2 how many stitches should I have?

    • @Meladora1
      @Meladora1  3 года назад

      At the end of row 1 you should have 8 DC"s and a ch 2 space = 9 sts.
      Double your sts on row 2 so you should have 18 sts
      Row 3 can be tricky but you have to take it slow and make sure you skip the correct stitch and that you're using the follow st to make your next V stitch area. I show you step by step in the video. Count the post's and see where the stitches are sticking out of. You should have 4 sections at the end of the row.

    • @jessthom1016
      @jessthom1016 3 года назад

      @@Meladora1 I’ve gone back several times now and finally gotten it? I think I ended up adding one extra double crochet on row 2 but rows 3-6 have all been in sync so I have no idea what I did.

      So you left as is. Could this be made in 3 ply yarn.

    • @Meladora1
      @Meladora1  5 лет назад

      Yes I did. It can be made in any ply yarn, but it will be stiff and not so comfy. I really recommend trying this in "Fingerling size" We all need to have those projects that are mindless to work on when we watch our shows. This is the perfect project to make a project for yourself. You've earned it just by being able to make it! I just LOVE mine :) I'm already looking for excuses to wear it :D
