Ridge racer was a fave of mine. I bought a playstation when they first came out and it was nearly my first game. I jumped straight in on the Trimui. Had to toggle some resolution for frame rate, but balance was alright. The drifting took me straight back to the 90's😅
i bought this one for 50 euro, and damn its worth it, for 50 i can play all old titles on nice screen , and lets be honest i dont need it to play ps2 titles that i can do on my phone ( with special gamepad) but sometimes you just wanna lay on the couch grab a console and play some old fun games , this console does its job very well, perfect retro console for that price. sure people would want to play all consoles up to ps 2 high end titles but ps2 doesnt rly feel retro, retro is pokemon on GBA or Pegasus games, or psx 1 pixel games
That is awesome value! It's also true what you say about your phone, at the same time it is nice to have a separate dedicate device that isn't bogged down by notifications or other distractions. Glad to hear you're enjoying it! Thanks for sharing!!!
@@bethaapple2102 3DS I'm not so sure, but DS should work, I'm just personally not a fan of running DS games on non-clamshells or small-ish screens, definitely a personal problem though! Thanks again for your comments!
@@gamers-generation I am playing tales of phantasia for the PSX, 😆 can't find a good port for it on the PSP. But on PSP crisis core and haven't tweaked anything on it TBH. Had issue first with xfer games but then I learned that you need to refresh roms in system menu and also do the emucleaner. Moonlight hasn't been good, so don't use. But everything else runs fine. I just xfer everything from the Trimui SD card and then did the crossmix OS in a new Kingston SD.
I have, I honestly didn't see much of a difference, but it's possible that in the titles I tested (PSP/DS) it didn't make a difference. Power Saver did seem to work decently though! Thanks for the comment!
Thanks so much for your comment! If by "2 handheld" do you mean they connect to each other? Technically with the Retroarch backend, it doesn't have to be two TrimUI Smart Pros, you can do it with this one and another retro handheld also using Retroarch. I'll have to post a follow up at some point, would you be interested in a guide?
@@gamers-generationI'm not the OP, but I think a guide for how multiplayer works would be cool! I just started looking into retro handhelds, and I'm torn between the Trimui and the new RG Cube XX that also tops out around N64 and Dreamcast emulation.
you can even play psp via lan with other person on android device. but there is one GEM game on GBA called SHINING SOUL 2 if you have friends that would like to play it together id reccomend it , perfect old school rpg with up to 4 players together
Pretty much any PS1 title will run well, as for DC, it depends on what you try, but most titles I played would be in the high 30s to 40 FPS range (I tested Power Stone 1/2, Dead Or Alive 2). What were you looking to try out?
@gamers-generation haha I'm korean. i have interested in Trimu Smart Pro. I like your video!. And ending video was unexpected klrean pop group lol. Thanks for your kind comment 친구!.
Thanks for your question! Unfortunately as far as I know, you cannot. It'd need some kind of Chiaki type app since it is Linux based, but I 'd be happy to be proven wrong!
Hey man, you do you. But also, it's not technically $100 just for the handheld, you do get the 60 day service and the $20~ microSD card, so... I mean it's a convenience thing for sure. Thanks for the comment!
To be fair, it includes the microSD card, so it's not exactly $40 for lip service. And they've said you also get a 60-day return which I'm not sure if vendors on Aliexpress/Temu also afford you.
MechDIU gave these to all the RUclipsrs. There is a problem though.... This sort of usurped the developer of the operating system. Rebranding it as their own.... Never asking for permission. Pretty much taking over his work. It's very upsetting to him.
I could be mistaken but I don't recall mechDIY claiming CrossMix OS was theirs, BUT, I can understand how the developer might feel. My understanding is that MechDIY is offering the service, to do the install, provide a microSD card, and a warranty/guarantee with the device as part of the "Surwish Service". Someone can definitely do the install themselves through github and donate to the developer as would be the preferred route by the developer I'm sure.

I almost had my hopes up... I need a small device being able to play PS2 and DS/3DS. 😂
Great video as always! 🎉
There's definitely something, check your DMs Krypto my dude!
This one could run ds and 3ds pretty smoothly.

@@gamers-generation my bad I meant DS for sure doing great with Trimui.
I am really enjoying the console. PSP games run amazing. I havent had any performance issue.
That's awesome to hear! What are you playing on it? 2x resolution too?

Thank you for making it possible!
Have you tried function toggle (fnkey) at bellow of the handle? Set it as cpu performace so you can run high demanding games smoothly.

What's Ridge Racer, never heard of it? Looks cool though. Also, TrimUI is what the PSP should have been.
It's supposed to be on the 699.99 console is what I heard, and for free at a low low cost of 99 99.99!
$100😅 I’ll buy it on aliexpress for $40 and get my own sd card
