Well, they do rehearse their routines before the event. And also i believe they do 98% of the same routine they do in final and in preliminary, maybe they added few difficulty in the final, but its almost the same😊
i have watched almost every vid of this i can find on YT & i 110% agree w/ you. this is my absolute favourite & by far the most impressive & talented routine. also, a majority of theses videos are usually 10+ mins. none of those truly impressed me like this one did 😍. it’s only 4 & 1/2 mins long, too.

The length of them staying under water. The cleanliness of the elements. The less splash of water. The closeness of all the ladies to each other. The proximity to each other is quite extraordinary. The difficulty of the elements. The musicality of the piece. The outfits. The music. The overall sense that music makes to the number executed in the water. Costumes. Poses before and after entrust the water. ALL of the askers make tremendous decision making in who takes top spots in the sport. Please understand these differences 😅.
They splashed just as much as the Chinese team and got as close as the Chinese and they stayed underwater for less time. China stayed under for almost 30 seconds at one point.

The dominance of RUSSIA in artistic swimming is such that they had to ban the country from participating in order to finally get someone else to win ! But this performance in particular remains the epitome of perfection and will be watched eternally.
