The two of you are delightful to watch! I can’t wait to try this recipe! Thanks! Bon appétit and blessings!😃
That's so nice - hope you enjoy it!
Been doing it my way for years. Our rice, sugar and 1 litre of milk in cooker for 10 mins….perfect every time.
Salt lifts the sweetness, always add a little salt while cooking sweet stuff!!! 🤗
Thanks for the note about your physical altitude. Here in Louisiana, we are mostly at sea level (or below for New Orleans!). A mile in altitude can make a lot of difference for cooking.
Haven't made rice pudding in ages we'll have to give this one a try
thank you for the recipe, I only had long grain rice and it came out thicker consistency which I prefer. opuld u recommend adding orange or lemon zest in the pot while cooking?
I like to mix zest with granulated sugar so that the citrus oil gets absorbed into the sugar and intensifies the flavor. So while the rice is pressure cooking, mix the zest with the sugar with a fork. Sounds like a great addition.
Yes, perfect comfort food. I'm with you regarding raisins.
Thank you this is the ingredients my mother made 💗 The other ones had condensed milk in it and I didn’t want that 💕
Hope you enjoy
This will be one of the first recipes to make in the pressure cooker when it arrives. My husband loves rice pudding, and I've never made it.
I make it often. It's delicious. Enjoy!
Hi. I'm using the sweet brown rice....what do you recommend on the time on the instant pot? Thanks
I like to use a 22 minute cook time for brown rice.
Should probably look for different recipe.
Looks delicious!
Thanks! It really is.
Hi I am a new sub and a new user of the pressure cooking. Over in the UK we have something called pudding rice I believe it is short grain white rice please could you help ? do you think I could use this the same way you have in this video. Thank you so much for creating this video you both look so happy Take Care.
Hi Susan - I haven't used pudding rice, but it sounds like it should work great. It works with most types of rice. Enjoy!
Pudding rice is similar to arborio rice.
How much sugar did you use?
1/2 cup sugar. :) You can get the whole recipe here: www.pressurecookingtoday.com/the-best-pressure-cooker-rice-pudding/
You didn’t say what you add to the eggs,,,Was it Cornstarch water or was it half n half?..
It was 1/2 cup of milk and the vanilla, but you could sub half and half if you prefer. You can find the complete printable recipe on our site www.pressurecookingtoday.com/the-best-pressure-cooker-rice-pudding/ Enjoy!
How about with just white rice
You can make it with regular long grain white rice, it just isn't as creamy, so you may want to add a little cream.
I see most recipes are calling for more than three minutes so if you want it creamier you might be able just to cook it a little longer as well
How much sugar?
1/2 cup of sugar
