Ok as a tech nerd, I love seeing stuff like this. Whenever I go to a concert or wrestling show I always try to look at the control area if I can (WWEs setup is bad ass)
Man…this explains why your content is as good as it is. Overkill? I would say no. It’s these little moves and flexibility that enable you to make pro quality content from home. I thought you did this stuff from a California TV studio to be honest. Well done man. I don’t know much about video creation but I’ve worked in music and audio most of my life and the choices you made on that side are top notch.
they are 2'x4' wood frames... filled with "rockwool safe & sound" insulation... covered by multiple layers of landscape paper to keep the insulation contained, and then felt fabric on the outside. i built these myself, although they can be bought elsewhere. they're basically like a catcher's mitt to the sound. soft and absorbing so that the waves don't bounce off room walls.
Surprised you don't have a Zoom mixer, Brodie. Probably provides the same capability but with a smaller footprint. And I reached out to you months ago about potential assistance... got crickets in response. LOL
Not the same capabilities. Zoom L12 is a 14x4 interface.. the Sig12 MTK is a 14x12 interface. The output stages are in wholly different worlds.. The Zoom L12 maximum output level is referenced at +14.5 dBu with an output impedance load at 100 Ω. The Sig12MTK is +21.5 dBu at 150 Ω load. The Sig is much closer to pro console levels of +24 dBu. ...not even close.
Brodie, you have one of the best home studios I have seen for sports content creators. I always thought this was your work area. That your employer put it together. The background was what drawed me in initially as a viewer. Keep making cool videos.

THIS is the content I am here for. Love it. Have a great holiday, Brodie!

What are you using for sound absorbing material in your room? I still need to layout my stuff in my room. Music production. Trying to learn.

I spotted that, too! I was wondering the same thing. I'm VE3KLT in London, Ontario, by the way.
Hey, Brody, are you a ham radio operator?
What's your computer? Mac or PC?
