I love how short the -600 is! Having an engine view whilst being seated in row 1 is rare and when you pay business, this is definitely a problem not getting proper views, keep up the good work and fly safe!
Thanks for another great trip report! I must say, it is very refreshing to see your WestJet videos. It is so great to see this Canadian carrier offering a bit of flair and uniqueness. Wonderful to have a really good second option, even on international!
I upgraded to premium plus back in 2016 on a WestJet flight from YVR to YYC and it cost $50 and did not include a meal like that, it was just a snack box and beer. The extra knee room was appreciated for my 6'4" frame.
Thanks for the review! I am flying WestJet to Comox, BC next week from Halifax via Edmonton and look forward to it as I haven't flown with WestJet in years as I am usually pretty loyal to Air Canada and other Star Alliance members. I chose WestJet this time around mainly due to better connections, but also to give WestJet another try. Your review encouraged me to bid for an upgrade to Premium, and while my offer for the shorter YEG-YQQ aboard the 737-6 was not accepted, the longer YHZ-YEG portion on their 737-7 was accepted so I am very excited! Thanks again for the review!
Deanluvs2fly I have been on the YEG to Comox flight SO MANY TIMES because I have family there and it is often pretty cheap and air Canada does not offer direct flights there. You can only take a connection through Vancouver. They have now changed the main aircraft to the 737-700 and they also fly with the Q400 too. They still use 736 sometimes on the route too.
I sprang for the upgrade to 2A at check-in on a YHZ-YYZ flight last summer. I really liked the extra space. Euro-business isn't bad when it includes a lot of legroom. My only gripe was that the windows are very low, which means I had to crouch in my seat to look out the window while on the ground.
I like the 737-600 because it's like a sports car. If fighters are super cars, and the 737-900 is a mini van, the 737-600 is a sports car in that it's small, lightweight and fast, with very powerful engines for it's size.
I am really excited for the transformation Westjet are going through. I hadn't seen the interior on the Max before and damn that looks great! Thanks for sharing Alex, I hope to be able to jump on a 736 myself soon.
What a fantastic trip report Alex! Unfortunately due to time I have not been able to watch much of your videos in recent weeks but I really enjoyed this one. Thumbs up
I am new to your site and am enjoying it very much. Having worked in the airline industry myself, you offer excellent reporting and I really like your showing your beverage and food service. Thanks!
The -600 tail always looks too big for its frame to me. So stubby! Thanks for the video. I live in nearby Bellingham to Abbottsford and have been tempted to try and fly out of there for a flight some time.
Upgraded to this style of Plus in 2016 going from St. John's to LGW, was worth it (cost me and the GF $100 each), the service, the seats, the space, I am near as makes no difference a foot shorter than Alex so I had lots of room to stretch out and sleep lol
Great video! I've only flown on a -700 in recent years so I wasn't sure what the difference was until I looked it up. I've flown on the 319, 320 and 321 mostly, with Frontier. Never had a problem with Frontier. In fact, I prefer them to other U.S. low-cost carriers.
Just flew on a 600 with the 2-2 premium configuration. It was amazing! Most comfortable premium seats on a domestic flight in Canada in my opinion. Anyway great Video Alex keep em coming 🤙
Looks like WJ continues to update and refine their product, especially their food service! I wish, though, they would become a partner of Skyteam or Oneworld so miles can be accumulated easier.
I believe that only the Max 8s with the new livery have them, i flew on the old livery max before and I don't recall the existence of the newer seat configuration.
Why is the middle seat blocked? And why are they going with a 2-2 config for economy? I like it, but I don't understand! Aren't these plane s usually 3-3 for economy?

I would have not been think for only one hour they even offer a food as you must just go up be up there for a few then come back down you did forget to check out the toilet but good review
Yep agree. Its better than the ever increasing monotonous American, European, Asian, Middle East and Trans Atlantic aviation video that is on other 'passenger review' you channels.
5:00 That's my Q4 flight arriving in from CYXX!
SAS had their last flight with their 737-600 yesterday ): Sas had like almost 30 of them before
Saskatoon to Vancouver, I had a completely clear panoramic view of the Rockies when we flew over them! Spectacular views, I will always remember!!
Best flight channel I’ve found. You focus on the actual plane as opposed to many others who just focus on the food and drink.
11:10 GSX Glitched
Rory Hennessy lmfao I’m done 😂
lmao
😂😂😂😂😂
The thunderbirds were on the ground at Abbotsford, so cool!

I love ✈westjet airlines in which I have from Toronto to Calgary Alberta in December of 2019, best inflight service ever.
I love the 737-600. A rare member of a very common family.

Last summer I had a 737-700 with the old tv service. It was kind of funny to see it again, so many good childhood memories😂

It was my first time flying within 🇨🇦thanks westjet

This was during the weekend of the Abbotsford Airshow! Can see the Thunderbirds!
Wow! Nice smooth landing.

Yay! another flight review! Thanks Alex! Love your videos!
As always a very good flight report! ✌🏼Greets from AMS.

Loved the video, I flew on their Economy 737-800, and still enjoyed the flight! Thanks for sharing! :)

Very nice report my friend! Love the views from the 767!
Awesome video man
Great to see your photo's on Flightradar24. I was surprised when I saw them when I was following some flights. Love your videos.
I always like flying into Abbotsford airport rather than Vancouver airport. Much more relaxing to get in and out.
that DC-10 though!!!!
Nice view of Canmore :)
Great video once again!
Looks like WJ continues to update and refine their product, especially their food service! I wish, though, they would become a partner of Skyteam or Oneworld so miles can be accumulated easier.
Another great video Alex!
I believe that only the Max 8s with the new livery have them, i flew on the old livery max before and I don't recall the existence of the newer seat configuration.
WestJet took advantage of the MAX grounding early on and redid the cabins, so all of them have new seats now, regardless of livery.
@@AlexPraglowskiAviation Ooh thats cool, good idea i guess. Can't wait until they come back into service!

J'ai trouvé un peu bizarre que l'agente de bord parle"" français "" mais j'avoue que cela m'a beaucoup plu ! Thank you so much for this video ! 👀👍

@@ericbeaulieu4663 Tu as bien raison, c'est un enregistrement ! 👀👍
I used to fly the the 600 all the time before they left the fleet
Friday night, long week, wine opened, see Alex Praglowski upload, going to be a great night!
Great trip report Alex, Thanks for sharing!
Anyone know why the guy at 11:11 leaned back then forward again?
A pebble in his shoe? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Trying being funny, MAYBE
Now asking the real questions
Tim Thompson or you just prefer air canada because I would say WestJet is way better
Probably lies too
excellent video , liked
Did you fly over Kelowna?
Right over YLW at 8:35.
Amazing Video loved the views on the descent! Keep up the great work!
Love WJ. My fave airline! 😀
Great review. 👍👏
Wow this is perfect I wish you can soon do an west jet encore trip report.
Will the entire fleet be painted in the new livery by any chance?
Well done as usual .
I saw westjet 737 600 at Toronto
Is it still flying for westjet
West jet is so great so is Swoop best airlines in Canada and maybe North America
Wow that’s a really smooth landing. I’m still pissed / sorry about C-FLHJ, I was tired and got up literally five minutes before. ):
Are your from Ireland?
I've read that the 600s fly like a little hot rod, has anyone else read this or heard of it?
Great! They should be more consistent with their branding. They have like 3 different logos / liveries.
i think this is the last 600 ever made. Tail 613
Second-to-last, Tail 615 is the last according to Planespotters.
@@AlexPraglowskiAviation Right i forgot about Tail 615. I used to load bags on all of them
Love it!! Your height is a thing!!!
Dash 600???
Boeing sure makes nice planes...
I would have not been think for only one hour they even offer a food as you must just go up be up there for a few then come back down you did forget to check out the toilet but good review
69 of them built? Nice plane.
Are you Polish?
I prefer cloth seats.
I don’t know what WestJet flu these aircraft now
lazershark Storm works Um... Wording....
I'm not a fan of the cutesy announcements. Professionalism makes folks feel more confident.

Once again great video Alex, it's so nice to see the Canadian carriers getting trip reviews. Keep up the great work.
