You don't listen to mainstream music? That's a big mistake, because the course of music is determinied for a large part by the mainstream combined with undercurrents. The Beatles were mainstream. ABBA was mainstream. Mariah Carey was mainstream. Ariana is only mainstream for the superficial listener, the consumer, while her art is actually no mainstream at all, that's just optics.
