There is lots of room for improvement in the way I'm editing and commentating, and I'm very open to your opinions, the goal is too make these videos super fun and interactive to watch!!
Do whatever you like, Yoann! Just get settled in to what works best for you. I can't wait for this content! Only recommendation, maybe, is for you to find a super convenient way to sway from mounted to handheld camera mode.
This is such a rad concept. When I was out filming in Squamish a month ago, this one was still under snow 😭Looking forward to seeing more! If you ever want to include showing a fabulously mediocre rider through these trails on camera, you know where to find me 🤙💃🏻
Andrew Boyd built the trail with help from Chris Weldon I believe. They also built pleasure trail. Andrew used to be one of the most prominent and forward thinking new route/boulder climbers any where, and then he switched to trail building! Long time Squamish locals, give them props for these amazing trails.
Because flat levels brakes make more sense than having them down tilted like most who think they are cool having them set low. You can touch your breaks easier when you are on super steep stuff when leaving far back. But it’s all preference on the rider I like mine higher
I found this super enjoyable and I actually loved the fact that it was a little bit off the cuff an unpolished. Definitely keen to see more of this kind of stuff.
That's the first BC video I've seen that adequately shows just how freaking steep the terrain is over there. Bravo Yoann, can't wait to see the next video. 🤘😎
Wow, just wow. You know it's a gnarly trail when it looks steep and treacherous on a gopro, then when you break it down, it's even scarier. I liked it!
when a world class pro has a good look and thinks hard about the right line down a tech section it gives you an idea what these trails are all about. this is the shit indeed, nice job Yoann.
Yoann Barelli hey there I love your positive attitude, fun noises, talking while you are riding,...nose wheelie, nose wheelie...actually showing the trails, scoping things out, explaining, where to ride and the line you pick then doing it, while talking and riding...super cool.. life is about trying right. Look forward to seeing more from from you with more great videos.. also awesome you bring Jackson with you on your adventures. Keep up the good work and be safe, have fun and safe travels. Good luck with your racing and sponsors.. what kind of bike are you riding and your Schock set up?. I ride a 2006 Santa Cruz Nomad with a Fox 36 front and Fox 5.0 DH.. rear. Finally giant props to you all who built these trails. Nicely done.
Yoann, besides being an excellent rider you seem like the nicest & fun person. If you ever come to Mexico, I'd be really happy to meet you and show you the gnarliest trails around here. Cheers bro!
Hey Yoann. I really enjoy your riding and positive mindset. You're a great inspiration. How do you setup your suspensions for this kind of steep and gnarly trails? Are there any valuable tips for us? I mean settings for rebound, sag, stiffness, tire pressure and so on? Thanks a lot!! Best regards
Thanks for the Video!!!! It is cool when a Bro shows how to ride the Bike and have fun. In June this year I’m also in Squamish for riding my bike 😍 ROCK ON
Great job! Interesting to put things into perspective: this trail is definitely gnarlier than it looks on the classic videos. Can't wait for the next ones!
Sick! Loved it! I like how you’re showcasing different lines and describe your mindset when approaching a difficult obstacle. Makes for something different!
Awesome video Yoann!!! Thank you for sharing your skills with us. It makes me realize that even the pros like you experience that uncertainty before entering a gnarly trail... and then that sweet sensation when we overcome our fear!! Greetings From Ecuador bro!!
Damn you’re the man. I’ve always wanted to do this and never got around to it. I appreciate your channel showing what hard trails are like. It’s fascinating.
Would not change a thing, the raw style is classic YB, dig it! lovin the "third line"! that should be your channel name "the third line" peace! -Adriano
Love the idea and the whole spirit of this thing. Studying and learning funky lines has always been one of the best parts of MTB riding, so this is superb. Keep going with it!
First off, great last name for a mountain biker! (Mine's Barili) Second, great idea for a RUclips channel! And as mentioned your energy is infectious. I couldn't begin to conquer a trail like that, but it's cool to see how it's done from a pro. Great stuff!
Needs more Gojira! Love the format. Trailforks should add a link to this in the app. A couple times the camera was pointing in the wrong direction but I’m sure you’ll iron out those wrinkles with practice. How the heck does Jackson get down those steep slabs!?
Love this concept! Ive always been fascinated with the gnarliest trails and the lines and all that mumbo jumbo, so super cool to get the man himself to show me how it's done! Plus, theres hundreds of super gnarly trails all over the place, so you'll have content going for a while! Awesome video, can't wait for the next ones!
Spent 3 or 4 days in Squamish, awesome place. Can't ride stuff as crazy as this but Crouching Squirrel n such trails. I think the loop with Rupert is up there as one of my all time fav short loop rides. Love the vid dude!
Would be great to have a RUclipsr exept gmbn here on that i enjoy to watch! Only thing i can hope for would be to see you several times in a week and getting better in editing and learning with ur folowers! ❤️ You have a great personality and it gives me Joy to watch!
it was Facebook videos of you riding this and a-line on a gravel bike that made me a huge fan. hoping to move to squamish one day and would like to run into you on the trails
Absolutely loving these video man, top work. I think something that would be really cool, would be to bring along a pal who's maybe not quite a shreddy as you and talk them through some stuff that's near their limit.
There is lots of room for improvement in the way I'm editing and commentating, and I'm very open to your opinions, the goal is too make these videos super fun and interactive to watch!!
Yoann Barelli this is awesome 👏 !!!!!
Do whatever you like, Yoann! Just get settled in to what works best for you. I can't wait for this content! Only recommendation, maybe, is for you to find a super convenient way to sway from mounted to handheld camera mode.
Yoann Barelli could you just say were you brake somtimes, it could be interesting I think😊
This is amazing! One thing that really stands out is the sheer amount of fun you have on the bike, it’s contagious!! 💪🏻
Just keep it as is man, simple and raw..the riding and commentary is enough
This is awesome! Keep it up Yoann
Yes dude!
Pinkbike thank you guys! There will be more pretty soon 👍
This is such a rad concept. When I was out filming in Squamish a month ago, this one was still under snow 😭Looking forward to seeing more! If you ever want to include showing a fabulously mediocre rider through these trails on camera, you know where to find me 🤙💃🏻
The Loam Ranger thank you man!! I’ll definitely keep that in mind haha 😊🙌!!
I gotta say, I love your trail boy. He is living such a great life for a dog!

Andrew used to be one of the most prominent and forward thinking new route/boulder climbers any where, and then he switched to trail building! Evan Stevens serious respect for those guys. Two of the best trails in Squamish (and the Sea to Sky in general).
Kudos to anyone involved with trails like this. IMO, this is proper mountain biking.
Mad respect for Boyd and all the f'ed up slab accents he has done
Your unadulterated joy is so contagious. People like you are the reason the sport is so great!
why are your brakes set so crazy high!! Haha thats pretty interesting
Jordan Boostmaster he has 3 balls

Very unique concept for mtb videos. Great vid!
That's the first BC video I've seen that adequately shows just how freaking steep the terrain is over there.
Bravo Yoann, can't wait to see the next video. 🤘😎
I really like this concept! It’s interesting to hear how you approach a trail and hopefully I can use that to improve my riding. Keep them coming! 🤘
This is perfect. So many funny moments my favorite in 19:00 - 20:00. Love the energy. Had to see where ITG began.
Wow, just wow. You know it's a gnarly trail when it looks steep and treacherous on a gopro, then when you break it down, it's even scarier. I liked it!
one of the sickest! series on YT ... great energy, excellent riding, fun & perfect lergth... looking forward to the continuation after you heal up
Supergeil!
Don’t change toooo much. Perfect video. I enjoyed it a lot.
I insist on seeing Jackson in every upcoming video as well. 👌👍🤟
Jackson pays attention. For sure knows more about technical mountainbiking than I do.

C'est un parcours de fou 😃, continu comme ca 😉🤘👍, super beau ton chien cool 😍

Stoke is clear in your riding man, love the feel of this. Can't wait for Episode 2!!
This was absolutely awesome. I love how your personality comes through in your videos, don't change a thing.
Amazing! This is my favorite thing on RUclips. 😎
Great video..man that trail is rad..... great riding!
Can you have your dog film you riding the gnarly sections? That would be a better angle. Please and thank you!
Would be so sick
With the integrated stabilizer that the new gopro have now and a dog harness, that would be actually pretty rad!!!
Vincent Boucher
Does that mean you are considering it? Are we going to see the Jackson cam in the future?
Yeah good idea attach a gopro on jackson it sounds good. You can have also a view on trail dog. 👍
Man, this is really good! Maybe you could put a go-pro on Jackson, he might get (some) very cool footage!
I love your fun and energetic personality!
So stoked to see this channel grow🤙
I second that! Love you, Yoann

Great positive attitude and great ride
Thanks for the Video!!!! It is cool when a Bro shows how to ride the Bike and have fun. In June this year I’m also in Squamish for riding my bike 😍 ROCK ON
Fantastic! Wonderful idea. You are 100% onto something. I think the pace is right on. Spend the time breaking it down, the more the better.
Great job! Interesting to put things into perspective: this trail is definitely gnarlier than it looks on the classic videos. Can't wait for the next ones!
Sick! Loved it! I like how you’re showcasing different lines and describe your mindset when approaching a difficult obstacle. Makes for something different!

Nice video. Manifique!! Keep it like that.
Super entertaining and very informative. I like the style of this video. Very human. Good work. Thank you!
Great trail breakdown. Suggestion: Post up the Trans Provence stage 16 from a few years ago. Contagious stoke!
Needs more Gojira! Love the format. Trailforks should add a link to this in the app. A couple times the camera was pointing in the wrong direction but I’m sure you’ll iron out those wrinkles with practice. How the heck does Jackson get down those steep slabs!?
Trailforks does now grab Yoann's videos in the trail video section thanks to the RUclips API. Great idea!
ACE Boxxerace Sweet! The vids are getting better and better. Seriously valuable info. He makes it look so easy though lol!
19:52 There is a whole new collection of sounds to learn with Barelli on this video xD love your expressions to explain stuff + sound effects

Brilliant stuff. Look forward to the next videos
Wow the detail is nice, I can smell the dirt from my screen. Also you can see how steep stuff is.
Love this concept! Ive always been fascinated with the gnarliest trails and the lines and all that mumbo jumbo, so super cool to get the man himself to show me how it's done!
