Cedar Key is one of my favorite Florida quaint getaways. I've been going there since the 70's and can honestly say it really hasn't changed that much other than the property values... I was going to visit there with my camper before the coronavirus hit. Maybe in the near future sometime.
I was born and raised there.. The best thing imho is kayaking out ti the many islands around cedar key.. Also the seafood restaurants in cedar key are amazing, along with the cedar key seafood festival and art festival..
Really enjoyed your earlier Cedar Key videos and love this one, too. Well done! Cedar Key is a place like no other--and once the state lock-down is over (and it's safe to congregate again), Joy and I will be sprinting back to CK! Hope to see you all there! Until then, stay safe Chad, Abby, and fellow Gallivanters! Cheers!~
PLEASE be aware that CEDAR KEY is currently closed at Bridge #4 except residents and essential business due to CIVID-19. PLEASE delay your visits until contagion abates.
I grew up in Yankeetown just a little south of Cedar Key in Levy County. It’s a gorgeous area and we hope it can stay that way sadly this current governor is trying to build more interstates through old Florida. We need to protect our natural beauty and stop promoting sprawl.
Went there just to look at RV site.. State troop. Would not.let me even look. Jerk. Blocked off road like it was a safe free zone. Hate to tell him. People living there were going out.. Not a virus free zone.
The closure was asked for by the residents, approved by the council and very brief: 3/20-5/4. You can just bite your tongue if your think YOU suffered because YOU couldn’t come and fish. (Freeload off the town.) An entire economy of a fragile small Community was chocked. I hope you and your ilk boycott Cedar Key forever.
@@ianmaki799 Thank you. Fishing? Not me. I was just coming there to become a jerk like you. So thanks. Oh by the way ...learn to read before you pass judgement on someone
My brother and his wife have stayed at the Cedar Key RV Resort. They have been very pleased with it. 10 minute car ride to town. 30 minutes to Walmart in Chiefland. They love the area.

Totally agree. The highway building through rural areas needs to cease! We’re losing too much of natural Florida.
