John I've said this many times on your podcast, with Larry, Johnny, Guner, etc. In NY they drew attention to themselves by being overly flashy with social clubs that were targets of wiretaps, embracing media, etc. In CT and Rhode Island operations were quiet and clandestine. Guys had legitimate businesses, restaurants, food and booze distributors, nightclubs, stripclubs. Only the people who had to know were aware guys were connected. That's how it is supposes to be.

Anthony’s right. The North End in Boston is the best Little Italy outside of Italy. The food is amazing. The culture is amazing. It’s like stepping into the 1940’s when you go there. If you disregard the insane amount of tourists in the summer time. So many other neighborhoods in Boston have changed but since a lot of the restaurants and real estate in the North End have been passed down in the family- it maintains its Italian culture. Southie, Charlestown, Dorchester are totally different than they were 15 years ago let alone 40-50 years ago.

Nothinnnnng!!! beats an ole fashioned tight knit safe Italian neighborhood!! We kept out streets safe these new "gangs" bring all the trash and all the trouble right to their door step then get mad because it's a ghetto, ya guys did it to yourselves. The old school Italian gents gave us the blue print and the new generation ruined it.

A couple of things…he fails to mention that the “hit” he did in 2003 on the guy in NY failed. The guy lived! You’d think that was a good thing, so why would he pretend he killed the guy? Strange.
Secondly, he says he told the Geas brothers that he was going to cooperate before he did it. I find that hard to believe since there’s a prison phone call between the brothers and they’re uncertain of what’s going on…they are discussing the rumors that Anthony may be helping the FBI as agents had just dug up a body.
Other than that, I like listening to Anthony. He’s an interesting guy. Good interview. Well done.

When he was doing his thing in Springfield Ma starting in 90’ western mass had amongst other things the largest GE defense manufacturing facility in the world 60,000 + people all making 60-100k+ and mills that supplied all the paper for textbooks notebooks all over the world even the paper money in your pocket made there. Lots of high paying jobs (60-100k/yr in the 80’s was good) and it’s a sports freak area THE biggest sports fans in the country. Lotta $ lotta gamblers. He was pulling 10 mil / wk or month he said on another podcast which I don’t doubt the guy was a top 95% earner of all mobsters anywhere. Also in those days if you looked at someone wrong around the area he was in you’d get the sh*t slapped out of you real quick or worse. The place is a liberal sh*thole now like everywhere else thanks to Clinton selling the entire US out w NAFTA but when he ran things it was entirely different. Also have umass + 5 other colleges in Amherst which is 10 minutes away adding 100k + college kids buying drugs partying and gambling. He was low key but ran a very legit crew that wasn’t messed with by anyone
