imo ~150 is all you need if you play on a 60-144hz monitor, for a 240hz monitor 240 FPS is ideal to get the most out of it and so on. I play on a 144hz monitor and I don't see any difference between 144fps and 300fps whatsoever, so I just cap it at 150. people on the internet are going to tell you there's a minimal input lag if you keep it capped which is maybe, JUST MAYBE a millisecond? still don't think even that's confirmed. what I do know is that it's a complete waste to use 100% power for such an old game, which will double the pc temps and therefore wear the hardware down faster. it's just retarde

For example, I play at 144hz, so if I play around 60fps in faster paced games or shooters, it feels terrible, similar to if a 60hz gamer played at 30 fps. However, anything between 75 and 120 frames per second feels acceptable to me. For slower games, such as pve survival games, I'm perfectly fine playing in the mid 50s; it all depends on what feels right to you.
