    Great video, only just found your channel but loving the content as it is giving me loads of ideas for shoots. Currently shooting both digital (Nikon / Fuji) and film (Nikon / Bronica plus an Olympus OM2n which is my 1 shot per day project camera). Thanks for the ideas I am looking forward to working my way through your videos. Good luck and stay safe.

    Glad to see another who prefers the 35mm focal length. I shoot an M6 with a 35mm f/1.4 Zeiss lens.

    Maybe you could tell Matty: It looks like the shutter on the M6 isn't working correctly anymore at some speeds. The last 10th of the right side of most photos is overexposed (it seems) by about 2 stops. I think the shutter isn't closing at the proper speed anymore.

    • @Tom-Humble
      @Tom-Humble  4 года назад +2

      ComGoBoo tbh it wasn’t something I had noticed but now you mention it I can see it on a few of the images.

    • @tr7daniel
      @tr7daniel 4 года назад +2

      Do you mean underexposed ? A darker strip down the right hand side on a lot of the pics. I have the exact same M6 myself and you've got me going back looking through my negatives now.... :)

    • @ComGoBoo
      @ComGoBoo 3 года назад

      @@tr7daniel Since it is color film, I think it must be overexposure, since it leads to more saturation with that type of film (if it is just a small amount of overexposure). And that is what I see on the right side of some photographs. It seems the shutter is too slow on closing in the last 10 - 15% of the frame. (But I'm also just guessing here)

      Hi Jay, thanks for the kind words. There’s not any groups I know of at the moment. Although I’m hoping to start my own as soon as things have calmed down a bit. And I’ll of course do a video about it

      @@Tom-Humble Your exposures were so good every frame, even in situations with tricky lighting. Is the M6 light meter that good? Also, how were you rating the film? I have been flirting with the idea of picking up a Leica recently and a truly reliable light meter might just nudge me towards an M6, but I am currently eyeing an M4. I'll probably also pick up that 35mm Nokton as it looks like a really solid performer for the price. Any thoughts there are also welcome :-)

    • @Tom-Humble
      @Tom-Humble  3 года назад

      @@justinhensen5266 The in built light meter is pretty spot on tbh. It was a joy to use and as you see form the results was vary rarely wrong... if ever. In bright stations I usually rate Portra at 200 but the ultramax I left at 400. You can't go wring with any Leica really but there's a reason why the m6 is so legendary because it's just a really good, reliable camera. And the voigtlander 35mm is a super lens too!
