Visit four coffee shops, and yet do not mention the beans, the roastery, the coffee gear. Minū: coffee from Wisecup, espresso machine Della Corte. Overoll croissanterie: coffee from Taf, espresso machine La Marzocco. Ellyz, roast own beans.
Ellyz I've often walked past but never given a second glance. External appearance, tacky bridal parlour replete with fake pink flowers. Like something out of Barbie. I asked of the cakes. I chose Cappuccino Caramel: Cinnamon financier, caramelised white chocolate with espresso coffee and vanilla caramel. It was ok. Nowhere near as good as the desserts at In Love Again or vegan cheesecake at nearby Minū. I asked of the coffee. They roast their own. I asked if a menu. Told to scan a qr code. As I did this, a waitress came over and demanded I paid. Then said follow her to the bar. I said no, when I leave. Appalling service, no water brought to the table, no menu.
Holy Llama Pleasing ambience, pleasant and helpful staff. Quiche tasty, but would have been even better if hotter than lukewarm and not served on a cold plate. Blueberry rock scone (incorrectly described as scone) was excellent. Poor quality coffee. The beans roasted by Cafeistas, the espresso machine of unknown vintage. The coffee mugs, embossed with logo, are on sale. For excellent coffee, walk a couple of minutes up the street to Warehouse CO2. The beans roasted by Wise Cup, a Della Corte espresso machine. Try the Luxury Coffee Project, very expensive beans that will blow your mind away
