  • Video: A busy evening rush hour spotting trains at Marks Tey station situated on the Great Eastern Main Line, this spot features many passing & stopping main line Greater Anglia services to/from London Liverpool Street (incl. the evening 317 service to/from Colchester) as well as the Gainsborough line service to/from Sudbury, also seen were quite a few freight moves (incl. a new livery Freightliner 66, and a Class 86 move).
    TRAINS INCLUDED:
    Greater Anglia Class 90 / Mk3 sets & Class 317s & Class 321s & Class 360 Desiros & Class 745 / 755 FLIRTs, Freightliner Class 66 & Class 86s and a GBRf Class 66.

    Those class 321’s bring back memories of when I used to take the SPT class 320’s to work from Helensburgh to Glasgow.. but they were only ever 6 coaches max

    I didn't know that class 321s went to Norwich

      They go Southend Victoria, Norwich, Colchester and London Liverpool Street. Also Southminster.

      I believe this became a regular thing when GA introduced the 'Norwich in 90' service, so additional 321s were added to assist the 90s. As for now though, I imagine its all run by 745s as the 90s have all been withdrawn.

      @@CHOO-CHOOPlane The class 321s not needed are now used near Southend Vic and London Liverpool/colchester lines now I think.

      The stopping peak hour train to Norwich has always been a 321
