One of the reasons unreal tournament is so good is because all. The weapons are so unique,orginal,and fun to use like the shock rifle you can shoot a ball then shoot a beam to get a huge explosion. The game is simple to play but mastering it is more difficult. That's why I love this game.
It's a shame you can't show off the tracking on the rocket launcher - if you had someone in your sights your crosshair would change to indicate it was locked on and they'd become homing missiles. Of course, good luck keeping anyone in your sights for longer than a half a second in this game XD
@@sidhu139 I think what he meant was that, every other weapon in the game is futuristic and space like, while the sniper rifle is just a regular old sniper rifle (Best weapon in the game in my opinion, has a similar satisfying feeling to the quake 3 railgun and doom super shotgun!)
@@Fatih_M177 What i dont get is why they didnt stick with the iconic Rifle from Unreal 1 and simply added a visible scope. It looked amazing and had a very brutalist feel to it with those twin bayonets.

Man this is killing me. I remember there was like a secondary weapon set. I was 6 when I played this but I definitely remember more weapons and it was connected to certain maps. Some maps had this weapon set in the video and other maps had another weapon set.

UT 1999 weapons were the best all the other's (03 04 and it shall not be named) sucked so Hard ! ( Edit : I still love the OG unreal weapons in bot match and singleplayer)

If you headshot wtih the chainsaw which you can do it does more than 150 damage ,more than ripper headshots or sniperifle . To my knowledge the game wont tell in the killfeed when you got headshot with ripper online and chainsaw offline-not your headshots but if you get headshotted and to my knowledge only inhuman bots headshotted me with chainsaw ,very rare event.
@@TDB-rm4qt I played a lot classic the last years offline - since i thought i made me better ,I even adjusted deck 16 for this by changing the gravity so you could make a normal jump but have the classic damage and a increase in speed all between 1.075 to 1.175 speed .Hardcore is 1.11111111
I really don't like how they kept trying to re-invent these sounds for subsequent games as opposed to just trying to make higher fidelity counterparts that follow the original feel.
Not as good designs in particle effects as the Unreal counterparts (except for the red-hot flak, that is a tournament W), but the Redeemer is a good addition with the FPV view (normally you get just 1 ammo and this kills everyone).
Can someone please let me know, should my copy of UT (best of Infogrames version) run on my XP laptop, which is 1.4ghz, 256mb RAM etc? I have some problems at the moment in that the game launcher is failing. I've heard XP should work, but maybe I've missed something? Anyway, if anyone has any useful suggestions, feedback or decent links etc, please help!
I want to add to the rocket launcher fire mode which in this video shows only 3 but there were 4 . You could klump together all2-5 rockets instead of the2-5 parallel shots , press fire +alt then fire again-( must have been like 5 years ago not really 100% shure)
I do have a Win 10 laptop too as it happens, but play most of my older games on the XP machine. I know UT is newer, but have no issues with Quake 2, Half Life, Call of Duty (original), so am hopeful it will eventually work!
It was invented here in ut99 and ist more mature -somebra was bad the first 2 years and is kinda ok now -translocator is a weapon -its instakill if you teleport whithin range of the playerradious and they "fixed it in later patches so you cant throw it like more than 0.5 sec deley since it was abused.

The Flak Cannon!! The most perfect weapon in ANY videogame I've ever played!!
My personal favorite were the Pulse Gun , Minigun , and rocket launcher you can use them for the bosses with the bio rifle that was my favorite too

Might be unreal 2004 you are thinking of cause that had onslaught and assault which had different gun sets from the core game modes like tdm or ctf

Sniper headshot deal 150 damage, and ripper does 157, or like that. Well, if you play on hardcore

I had issues with Windows 11 with the steam version. The Gog version works fine.
One of the last games with amazing sounds in game.

the newer games made it weaker
It was Op in a rocketspecialist hands - for others it was slow -so they made it faster and damage weaker - like 80 damage when the old one did 112.
