Charlotte, here. A lot of these tags are rural vs suburban vs urban. I was born & raised in NC, but I pronounce many of these words different than you. 😉 Btw, Quincy's was the ish!!! 👌🏽
I'm not from NC but my mother's side of the fam is. They're from Dunn which is between Raleigh and Fayetteville. I love NC and I love your accent young lady. Never change.
I'm from Cali, your accent isn't that "thick" - very understandable. you have a few colloquialisms we dont have, but plenty of people here from other parts here and I'm used to it.
Yeah, I've lived in the south all my life and never heard "bless your heart" being used as an insult. It was always sweet and genuine. I just think people misuse the saying like how some people say "thank you" when you mess up their day.
