I was watching a jewelry appraiser say China is buying up our vintage jewelry because China was introduced to these companies when they moved there for cheaper labor. Monet, Trafari, etc... now they have gotten the vintage jewelry bug as well. Prior to that, it was American based and not as familiar in the Chinese market as it is now. I don't know, but that is what I heard.
Your Salvation Army jewelry selection is 1000x better than the one in my area! Do you have Savers/Value Village/Unique thrift stores? I do well shopping their jewelry section.
You hit the nail on the head. Napier just announced that aliexpress has knocked off their designs! 😢 Also, that is a butter dish, and the glass insert goes with it. My parents owned one. I bought a fenton anniversary bell at Goodwill. And I just bought a set of two that are from japan.
I don’t pick up bells. They don’t sell very well for me. I think you will do amazing with hard goods! George the Antique Nomad and a local RUclips seller I watch (she’s very into watching trends) both have said Old European styles and rich darker colors are going to be coming back this year. I thought of your style-sounds like a perfect match 😊. Thanks for all the great content to learn from!

43:17 Green and white faux pearl necklace is vintage Japan and it works for St Patrick’s day.
24:07 I thought that was a personal size jam jar, but it could also be a master salt or used to hold any other spice added at the table.
This old lady have learned so much from you and it has been a blessing ❤
You are too kind!
28:41 Is it possibly made of ormolu? I would say it is to hold lipsticks and/or cosmetic brushes.
The sticker on the little german ceramic basket says "hand-painted" in German 🙂
Thank you!
Thanks
