hello Cat!! What an exciting start!! mysterious planet, pirates, wonder, and Star Wars!! But yeah Brutus the wolf alien is such a cool design!! And yes, thought of Jod being under the mask at the beginning crossed my mind And these kids are great ^_^ Hope you are well, my friend
Aww thank you so much for watching!! Agreed on the comedy here, but I really appreciated that they’ve genuinely nailed it with the pre-teen humor here! It’s enjoyable to watch even as an adult
Holiday Special 🎉😂 Cat!!! 12:29 We need to get you educated on that Masterpiece! Watchparty someday ;), I really enjoyed this reminded me a lot of adventures of playing outdoors back when that was a thing 👍 Just ..now in space! Great reaction and review Cat ..now part 2🤘
@@CatherineLaSalle Oh Cat it's one of a copy that you ether get RUclips someone recorded it and uploaded it or VHS 😂 Look up it's history "If I had a Sledgehammer I'd take it to that movie" - George Lucas lmao
I'm liking the show so far, it's pretty wizard, esp seeing lots of diff aliens walking around! Brutus having three pistols across his chest a la Blackbeard is a cool pirate touch. I think its the kind of show Star Wars currently needs, harmless fun to calm the waters a bit.
I've been describing this series to my folks as "Goonies in Star Wars." When watching it, I both agreed that At Attin looked a little too suburban for Star Wars and recognized my younger self in the characters. I was that kid who had pretend lightsaber fights and read a lot of history and fantasy books. I also remember the animosity between boys and girls, especially the kind of girl who thinks she's so smart and can talk her way out of any situation. This show brought me back to childhood.
I am genuinely baffled by this complaint I see everywhere. A Galaxy has millions of stars with possibly thousands of habitable worlds. Is it really that strange to find one or more planets that look similar to earth in having a Surburban neighbourhood? Tattoine is a desert planet, Earth has deserts, Star wars has a water planet and a Forrest moon, both of these types of environments exist on earth. Coruscant is filled with huge skyscrapers. Earth has cities with lots of skyscrapers. Why is suburban neighbourhood on a star wars planet surprising or problematic?
As a dad, my favourite character was the dad, funny enough. Although this show really impressed me so far, as the first genuine *family* show they've done in a while.
The beginning is similar to both a New Hope and Goonies. Goonies due to how dark it is as that film starts out with a fake hanging and shoot out with cops.
7:57 Huh, notice how she didn’t say 'New Republic,' just 'Republic.' Plus, the credits the dad gave the kid as launch money were Old Republic credits, from before the Empire and the New Republic. I'm starting to think this planet might be isolated from the rest of the galaxy, and maybe they don’t know about the Fall of the Republic, the Jedi Purge, the rise and fall of the Empire, or the formation of the New Republic. They’ve probably been operating in isolation for centuries, without any interference from the greater galaxy. Which would also explain why the designers went for a very American '80s suburban to make the planet feel insolated from the rest of the gaalxy since American suburbas are the last thing we expected to see in Star Wars, though it fits with the narrtive. Plus, this planet seems to know about the Jedi. We have action figures, tablet stories about their lore and adventures in the databases. Wim appears to have created his own wooden lightsaber, likely based on some kind of reference he found. Remember, once the Empire took over, they basically erased the Jedi from history, burning every lightsaber they came across. So, it's clear the Empire had zero presence on this planet, since they still have information about the Jedi. Once the New Republic took over, they likely restored all that lost history, but this planet 100% predates the formation of the New Republic. So yeah, excited to find out more and see if any of this comes true.
Those who live on At-Aden probably think Lina Soh is still the Chancellor…which leads me to believe At-Aden has been isolated from the rest of the galaxy since 232 bby….there’s a MaJOR hint in one of the scenes that At-Attin is stuck in the High Republic.
Okay so perhaps it’s not a sinister dystopian situation going on here…maybe they are just genuinely stuck in the past unbeknownst to them 🤔 I still can’t help but feel like something fishy is at play, especially with those assessments for the kids that basically cement their place in society at such a young age, and the fact that seemingly nobody can enter or leave the planet…
December 4, 2024 This planet was definitely untouched by the Empire given the amount of Jedi history the Great Work is a reference to Chancellor Lina Soh and her Great Works of the High Republic specifically Starlight Beacon which was brought down by The Dread Lord Marchion Ro in Star Wars Light of the Jedi Part III The Fallen Star

It was awesome

LFG!!!!!!!
Star Wars in December is always the best one, even for this show.
HECK YES that’s what I’m talking about!!
I don't think the droid was looking for Wims. It was just out there and ran into him.
Yes, they are Truant officers..... like the real ones.
Hi Catherine hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤

Dang I guess I REALLY need to watch Goonies 😦
This will be a classic 80s homage if one of the kids kicks the werewolf in the balls and says, "Wolfman's got nards."
10:24 Yeah Catherine it's basically like all the 10 year olds I see in real life operating e-scooters. Practically the same thing.
Ahhhhhhh I guess that makes sense 😂

Was it really 50 minutes long? It went by so fast...!
Also, I like that the school desks have space etch-a-sketches built it :)

I love the kids and yeah something's really off with their society like the aptitude test is something they give to teenagers not ten year olds
Like the giver book
Something fishy is definitely going on there…curious if they’re going to somehow liberate their planet when they learn the truth lol

Woooooaaaaahh so they are REALLY trapped in the past

So it seems
Not to much old enough to drive, old enough to ride her bike to school since all SW vehicles have motors.
