In this video, I will show you how to make an arduino handheld gameboy game console. It uses an arduino micro and OLED display to make a tiny gaming console, even smaller than the gameboy pocket. This is an arduboy compatible system which is an 8 bit, credit card sized gaming platform, that makes open source games easy to learn, share and play. You can play games made by others or you can also design your own games for it. Since, it is open source I made my own version of it.

Nice work! I didn't know about this Arduboy project.
+iforce2d Thanks! You have some great content!
AMAZING I can’t wait to make it. I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time! THNKS! You’re my hero.
AMAZING I can’t wait to make it. I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time!
This is so fun I really want to try this now, you explained it really well.
Thank you now with your guide i can make my own gameboy
Cool build, nice video!
COOOOL, i would test it with my Arduino. Thanks. Good job, nice video. (thumb up)
I am always amazed at these kids doing awesome things with the hardware available now days. Great video young man, this is awesome.
Nice project dude, good video
great video nothing to complain about
this was awesome!
Good job !!
Im still 11 years old but i am intrested to make console, and you make it great, and make me understand, u are so useful for me :D
This is very good video
Hi Bro Great Work,
Can we use Arduino nano and OLED i2c with this? also please share the wiring details i wanted to create on my breadboard.
Thanks
Cheers
Awesome
Did you add a battery charging circuit? Otherwise it's very well done.
Amazing can there be a cover for it if possible?
great way to start arduino, can u add joystick on board, im looking for your reply, i don't have any experience with arduino but im looking for something to start, and can i use pro micro or nano?
Hi, could you tell me how you connected your battery to the board, which pins and how does it recharge(a regulator?)
Is there a way you can upload the wiring diagram? Thanks!
Please make a video teaching us how to make and program a flash cart for this project. I really need help. :c
I'm making this project with school students but need to make some changes to the PCB. Are you able to provide the schematics file? Please? Thank you
I want to buy this game is soo cute!!
How long can you play on a single charge?
Hi can I use oled display with only 7pins?
Can we use any other arduino for making this?
Hy, i have a question: how did you get sponsored by jlcpcb? And how the sponsorship works (do they pay you or do they sent you free pcbs?), Thanks for answering 👍
What was the name of the game that you played on breadboard circuit???
Possible to do the same on arduino uno ?
how can i load games on the arduboy?
Will it work on a Mega, since it memory is more?
Can I use arduino nano
Could this work with an arduino uno?
the Techowright is it possible to explode
Circuit diagram link please
Hey we use adriuno does it work or not
you are amazing I wish I would buy an arduimo
Hüdayi Aşık then buy one they are very cheap
dude in my country 1 dolar is 6 tl btw it makes 6 x expensive
Ow, sorry for that my fault
Nice i hope you have fun learning it
Your amazing bro.... What ate you studying bro??????? 😊😊😊😊
*What ate you studying bro*
Hey I am use Arduino Uno does it work
is jlc easy to use? i want to print the "Game Boy Zero Handheld ISO" and it says its open for all of us to us it. how would i use jlc to print the boards?
+T1 Here, this link will help you

where wiring diagram
Where 's the sketch ?
hello very nice arduino boy Only problem I have is that my oleds are I2c not this type. They only have 4 pins. you help me out in changing this to my screen please?
The project only works with a display that has an SPI bridge because all game codes are programmed to function only with them. In that case you have to modifiy every game code to make it work with it.
@@shyam-ravi can I use Arduino nano if yes then what type of changes I have to do in programs
Hey guys! Hope you like this video! Tell me which games are the best?
Wow
teach me how to create gerber files
Yes, I am planning to make a video on it.
Nice work can it play pokemon though
Sudden realization it needs lr buttons
instead of an Arduino, can you use a Raspberry Pi zero? Would be great if I could get an answer soon.
+Soundarya Subramanyam Yeah, we can use a raspberry pi zero to make a different game console but it wont be compatible with the arduboy system. So, if you wish to make an arduboy you have to use an arduino.
thank you very much
Man with a fake accent, whatever it's still cool! Great work
What's that white thing in which you placed everything
It's called a breadboard. We prototype projects on it before making the PCBs.
@@shyam-ravi thank you
Can i use arduino nano with this project?
Unfortunately, No. All the arduboy game codes are only compatible with the ATmega32u4 Chip. So you can either use arduino micro or pro micro.
Just tell me it will work or not because I have not enough money for Arduino micro
Yes, it will. Here is a useful link: goo.gl/szKHmQ
Will this work with an arduino nano?
nah
Can I use Arduino pro micro
Yes, you can. But it will have less gpio pins. So I just suggest you tu get an arduino micro.
Where u stay bro
can you switch between games ?
No, But you can upload new game through the arduino IDE.
@@shyam-ravi can you choose in the starting
No, you have to choose the game in the computer before uploading.
Hey!! Give me your game!! Now!!!
infatti il codice arduboy non funziana ed il display è 8 pin quindi attenzione a non comprare un 7 pin
If you're a coder I'm an autistic game designer looking for someone to help me get a franchise off the ground
You Excell in what I need help with

You are indian
