Hearing them talk about how the sub can act as a mobile stonehenge reminds me of a scene from Hunt for Red October. In Red October, Ryan's friend tells him when he built bomb shelters in Florida because of the cuban missile crisis. He then tells Ryan that the super-sub could park dozens of warheads off the cost of New York, and no-one would notice until it was too late. Similar thing here. Stonehenge can reign over the Usean continent, but it's a stationary weapon. The Allicorn's rail guns are just as threatening as stonehenge, yet can move at the captain's will.
This whole DLC is a homage to Hunt for Red October, there's a reason why the new POV character is a defence analyst (like Jack Ryan) and they keep playing that music that resembles the Russian choir from Red October's soundtrack.

Sadly gone. It would've been cool to fight them in the final DLC mission with them stealing Osea's reconstructed Falken and Morgan (which is canon as per Aces At War: A History, as the two prototype planes flew over November City post-2010 with a X-02) in a last-ditch effort to redeem themselves.

I love the proliferation of Aegis shore/sea based systems ability to actually intercept incoming missiles. Really makes it challenging and “realistic”. Glad to see it more, as well as the annoying AD tanks lol.
the reason you were having trouble with that one aegis ashore is it takes time for LASM's to reach their top speed. the KH-31A has a top speed of mach 3.5 which is the main reason why it can avoid CIWS fire but it takes time to get to that top speed. i would recommend not launching them closer than 4.5km if you want a guaranteed hit.
Yes! Hilarious stuff. Too bad Zaptroxix didn't bother to locate his plane afterwards, while he was having his pre-death monologue. I imagine it'd still be flying backwards in a straight line.
Sukhoi Su-35S with Kh-31 anti-ship missiles and long-range R-27 missiles proved to be excellent during this mission. On the other hand, properly armed F-2A, F/A-18F, Gripen E, Rafale M, Mirage 2000-5, Su-33, F-15E and F-35C would also do the trick. Three questions remain: 1. Why the "Mimic" Squadron wanted to kill "Trigger" so much 2. What side does the "Mimic" squadron represent 3. Why Captain Torres targeted Oured's nuclear weapons attack and why he wanted to kill nearly eight million people to end the war on the Lighthouse. One thing is certain: I have a bad feeling about this.
It's been 3 years, but I think I might have an answer to them. 1,2) Not sure about this one, but I once heard a theory which said the Clemens hired GRGM (General Resources Guardian Mercenaries, yes, *that* General Resources) pilots Scream and Rage to kill Trigger to prove Osea doesn't need aces like him. Which means the siblings want to kill Trigger partially because they're paid for it. They might also want to kill him because they tried to be like him but couldn't (see Rage's post-Scream-death breakdown). 3) Because Torres is batshit crazy. That's it.

Yes! Hilarious stuff. Too bad Zaptroxix didn't bother to locate his plane afterwards, while he was having his pre-death monologue. I imagine it'd still be flying backwards in a straight line.
Sukhoi Su-35S with Kh-31 anti-ship missiles and long-range R-27 missiles proved to be excellent during this mission. On the other hand, properly armed F-2A, F/A-18F, Gripen E, Rafale M, Mirage 2000-5, Su-33, F-15E and F-35C would also do the trick.
Three questions remain:
1. Why the "Mimic" Squadron wanted to kill "Trigger" so much
2. What side does the "Mimic" squadron represent
3. Why Captain Torres targeted Oured's nuclear weapons attack and why he wanted to kill nearly eight million people to end the war on the Lighthouse.
One thing is certain: I have a bad feeling about this.

1,2) Not sure about this one, but I once heard a theory which said the Clemens hired GRGM (General Resources Guardian Mercenaries, yes, *that* General Resources) pilots Scream and Rage to kill Trigger to prove Osea doesn't need aces like him. Which means the siblings want to kill Trigger partially because they're paid for it. They might also want to kill him because they tried to be like him but couldn't (see Rage's post-Scream-death breakdown).
3) Because Torres is batshit crazy. That's it.
