If my memory serves me well my dad Ray Barber (Lead Mechanic of Brian Leask Husky Team) built a really trick 125 Husky for him circa 75/76 that had the carb inlet in to the crank! Air leak made it over run (My brother had it for a while).....Great days...Roger talks so well and really engaging....Top Bloke....And Huskvarna is town where Husqvarna were made. Went to the museum last year, there was a Mikkola 360 my dad built the gearbox in.

Didn't he ride the 125GPs on a Husqvarna?

@@zoomerzoomer-jn7rf Indeedy we had a Merc van supported by Yamoto which was the Yamaha side of Brian Leask Husqvarna business. Happy days back then.☺

Had to laugh at the comment about the Double jumps at Worcester MX school. Roger taught me to do double jumps there in '86. I didn't realise he'd only just taught himself!

Roger is a star. I went to one of the first MX schools he did with Tim Matthews in '85, I crashed on the final day and Roger got my squashed pipe fixed. Saw him later that year at the Cradley Heath Speedway 'Supercross' meeting when he was still on crutches for his hips.

Interesting when Rog mentioned that his mum sponsored him when he was a young rider. When I rode schoolboy scrambles in the late 70s we were a single parent family on a low income but my mum paid for my fuel, my entries and marshalled for me week after week. Without mums, where would we be, eh?
