GFL Environmental's first week in Dearborn

- GFL has won over the collection for the trash contract for the City of Dearborn as if the First, succeeding Republic Services.
On my trip out here, I was pleasantly greeted by much more welcoming and friemdly drivers than I encountered with Republic. I first met a beastly MR that came from the Sterling Heights yard, but unfortunately the loader was quite a bit sluggish, so I just grabbed a quick clip and moved on.
Next up is a futuristic Mack LR coupled with the all-new Heil DuraPack Rapid Rail. The driver had quite a few stories, as he's been in the industry since 2001. He started at Deffenbaugh in Kansas City, then he came to Duncan disposal not too long before they were bough out.
Following that we see a speedy Labrie Automizer on top of a Mack LEU. Definately a respectable unit, and I think it would be a great truck out here.
Lastly we see a shiny Heil Odyssey paired with another Mack LR. This is a truck that I'm definitely a fan of. The driver , Mike, has been around the block a few times. He recently retired from WM with 36 years of experience (if I recall correctly).
All these units are rentals from Premier. I'm not sure what GFL's plans are for trucks out here. I have heard that they are considering purchasing some of these units, especially the Curotto.

The mack lr's are awesome their cabs are so driver friendly and drive awesome!

Woah, wasn't expecting this one but it didn't disappoint. The rear loader sounded great, and it was sweet to see all those premier units. I've known they had the Labrie for a while, but it was interesting to see them go with the Rapid Rail arm over the Pythons they've rented for years. Still like the Labrie more, would love to see some on LR's. The Curotto is a great truck, I remember not being able to believe how nice 2671 was back when Republic rented it. Would be neat to see GFL buy these units- Premier would definitely be willing to sell them. Great video!
Haha, I was blown away by everything. On my way to the route, I saw the Odyssey driving down the road, but I wasn't expel anything else. That labrie is definately quicker and smoother than the RR. There's a possibility that they'll be buying these. Thanks boss!
Awesome vid the recycling lids remind me of waste management recycling lids! I hope they get some currotos would look sick in lime green
