- Well folks, I've got to say I was pleasantly surprised by my recent trip to Tackle Shack, the new fishing tackle shop that just opened up on Colombo 02.
I've been fishing these parts for years and have been in need of a new local place to pick up all my gear, bait and tips. The shop is clean and well organized with plenty of space to walk around and see everything they have to offer. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable - they could tell I was new to the area and didn't hesitate to give me a rundown of all the hot fishing spots nearby and what lures have been working best lately.
The selection of tackle and gear is impressive for a smaller shop. All the major brands were there from the basic stuff to more specialized items. The bait selection was great too with live and artificial options for all the local freshwater species like bass, trout and panfish. They even had a small selection of saltwater tackle for us surf anglers. Prices seemed fair for the area and they had some sales going on for opening week.
Overall, I'll definitely be back to Tackle Shack. They've got what I need in terms of gear, info on local fishing and friendly staff. They've set up a nice little shop that caters to all types of anglers. If you're in need of tackle and tips, I highly recommend checking them out. Tackle Shack is sure to become my new go-to fishing tackle shop.

Decently stocked tackleshop but this owner guy is full of himself and thinks no end to himself. Thinks he knows it all which is quite annoying and laughable at the same time. Other than his poor attitude, it's a decent place to buy stuff.
