Loved his film but his missed tackles made him look like Kenneth Murray (back in his OU days) at times. Hope he goes to a team that knows how to hide his negatives
He fucking sucks - not sure how anyone can like his tape, he has no awareness - extremely raw despite James’s analysis that he’s ready to play in the NFL
#1 Joshua Karty #1 in draft , Stanford . 6'1' and 206lbs . never misses . Clutch to his core winning so many close games in high school he brough NFL regulation to the kicking game in high school football across the country. Best kicker to come into the NFL in decades. Perhaps the best college kicker of the modern era and it has little to do with his college time in football . He was the greatest high school kicker of all time. More points. more winning kicks at the end of games than anyone ever, best % in HS history , Most points in high school history . He has clutch in his genes and was born to win games off his leg. no one is better prepared to win games as a kicker than Karty . i simply cannot say enough good things about this young man. He is a hall of fame kicker at the next level and unless some chick lies about him like Matt Araiza nothing is going to stop him from NFL greatness. there are no sure things at Kicker coming into that pressure of the NFL . Joshua Karty is as close to a sure thing as kickers get. he can make them from record length on a good day and won't let your team down in clutch moments. Ice in his veins and a cannon of a leg. This guy is the first real deal kicker in decades. #2 Diego Guajardo best leg in the draft Southern Alabama Thunderous leg power with practice kicks made from 81 and 80 yards on video. Power kicker with every swing . He has a tendency to pull kicks from time to time but his form has gotten really really good since high school . The guy is a bit of a risk as a possible flop with the wrong situation and bad luck but by all accounts one of the strongest kickers to ever come into a draft. A guy to really work with but one who could be a kicker out of the NFL as fast as he came in. Not saying he will fail but he has those moments you just wonder in his preparation but it always seems to work out on Friday nights and Saturdays to this point. Now we find out if he can make it all work on Sundays . If he does you are looking at the next record holder for longest FG in history . The guy has more leg than anyone kicker I have seen beside Matt Araiza #3 tied.. Harrison Mevis Missouri . Not a thunder legger like the first two guys but can sink kicks from 60 on field and he can kick in weather. Not so clutch but consistent and with excellent form this guy has a long NFL future . He may never be the best in the NFL but he will be one of the longest tenured . I think he will be a great NFL kicker within 2 years. #3 tied ..Will Reichard Alabama . I think he has clutch all over him but Alabama rarely needed him in big moments . The first kick he ever attempted was a 52 yard kick in a 28 to 28 game vs Auburn and its been all gravy ever since . Big winning kick against Texas but outside of that he did his scoring with leads and Alabama scoring a lot helped him score more points than any player in NCAA history with over 533 points. I cannot say he won't be the first kicker taken and think he might be but Karty is more impressive in only clutch . no team will regret drafting Reichard as their kicker however you will not get top end leg . That upper 2% of range eludes him but that still puts him in the 55 yard max range and a guy that on kickoffs will drive the ball as well as any team actually needs. There is very little doubt this guy will be an very top end NFL kicker for a long time . If you need a kicker this may be the best option for you but with legs like Diego Guajardo and Karty in the draft the lure of having a historic power behind your kicker may draw you away from this near sure thing. #4 Jonah Dalmas Boise State . The last of my list is not the least. A great leg in his own right this guy has a lot of the traits you want. Clutch being top of the list . He makes everything he kicks between 40 -49 yards . Has a 58 yard make in 2023 and was as much a leader on his team as anyone . He may take some time to settle into his NFL role but I highly doubt it . The guy is solid and has a lot to offer an NFL franchise. Not to mention his trick kicks are scary if a coach would ever let him use them on onsides. No one does a good kicker review because no one can get good kicker game film . Kickers have a way of having their best games in the hardest to get all22 . So i hope this helps . In my opinion this is an epic kicker class. Everyone of the kickers I have on this list can be great NFL kickers and have legs to be in the mix with the best kickers in the league today across the board. I think Karty is one of the best born to be a kicker players I have scouted in a very long time and I have watched him closely since i saw his high school dominance and how he carried his team as a kicker through high school. for his school he was the superstar as a kicker . Unheard of . Reichard is a solid kicker with Adam V. vibes and Dalmas is as consistent as Ryan Longwell with more range. Melivs has the same chop and can make kicks even if the snap is bad . He adjusts on the fly when things go wrong well and makes up for bad place holds as well as anyone I have seen in college games. Diego is the big risk vs reward. Will he be an NFL kicker and never let his team down? No . He will miss some NFL kicks. At least early in his career and I expect this from almost all of these kids early in their careers as happens with most rookie kickers. With Diego though you draft a guy that can outkick anyone and someone who could win a game on a 65 yard FG in a pinch someday and his leg will only get stronger as he grows into his NFL career. They all work hard on being consistent and still drive it long and high . If your team needs a kicker than you lucked out the draft fell as it did because you are going to get a good one.
@@jesusoftheapes Thanks for the response, and even more the in depth detail. I was Dec thinking Harty for sure would be a great pickup. So this would make the call tougher.
He is an edge player not a MLB though. To call edge guys linebackers in the 2024 construction of things is not what they are . Very few cover off the edge anymore . Linebacker means Middle Linebacker in 2024 so if you want to rank him as an edge defender I will agree but to call him the #1 linebacker is a huge no . he is no linebacker and will always be in pass rush.
66 Snaps on D line 82 Snaps covering the slot 8 Snaps lined up at corner 453 Snaps lined up in the box. He is versatile, but he is a linebacker and he had to cover.
Come on Texans. Make it happen

Qwan'tez Stiggers
Can't possibly be worse than what I had to watch the Eagles put at LB last season
reminds me of devin white, missing tackles and overshooting gaps, not a fan personally.

I'd like to see some grades for the kickers.

Chris Ballard is finding a way to draft this guy
Welcome to Green Bay

He played primarily off ball at the Mike
66 Snaps on D line
82 Snaps covering the slot
8 Snaps lined up at corner
453 Snaps lined up in the box.
He is versatile, but he is a linebacker and he had to cover.
