I think the fight at 34:40 about waiting for the tank to engage is bang on. He made an assumption that "my reinhardt will play aggressively" instead of waiting to see him play aggressively and then engaging. I think the only reason the reinhardt even did charge in aggressively after the fact is because the tracer kind of baited him into it. This is something I see myself doing when playing flankers too, so not trying to flame :)

did this person seem argumentative over what the right thing to do was? getting a vibe of, 'hey can you coach me, but also when you tell me what should have happened I'm gonna argue that what I did was right and what you are telling me is not....' It felt a little awkward a few times, compared to other videos I've seen..

I think it's not necessarily argumentative in the sense of opposition, but rather arguing the reason behind their decisionmaking so that it's evident if their thoughts are directly wrong, or if there's nuance to it.
Mostly this type of discussion is more explanation for "this is why I have these habits, and to me its logical that I do these plays because of X Y Z reasons. Is that wrong? Is there something I'm overlooking in my reasoning?" -it's generally better having a person argue their reasoning, as it tends to more directly highlight potential flaws in their mindset and understanding of the game, compared to someone who may have a specific reason for what they do, but never mention it and thus risk falling back into old habits because their reasoning was never proved or disproved.
But I definitely get what you mean, they did seem to want to argue their own "counterpoint" so to speak, but hopefully they retain the ability to listen and cast aside their own perception, whenever an opposing coaching view is presented to them that challenges that view they've established.
