Alkhurma Hemorrhagic Fever (AHF) is a rare and potentially deadly viral disease caused by the Alkhurma virus. It was first identified in Saudi Arabia in 1994 and is primarily transmitted to humans through the bites of infected ticks, especially the Hyalomma dromedarii tick. The virus can also be transmitted through contact with the blood or tissues of infected animals.
The most common mode of transmission is through the bites of infected ticks, particularly the Hyalomma dromedarii tick. Ticks are arthropods that feed on the blood of mammals, including humans.
When a person is bitten by an infected tick, the virus in the tick's saliva can enter the bloodstream, leading to infection. This mode of transmission is especially relevant in regions where these ticks are prevalent, such as the Arabian Peninsula.
AHF is characterized by hemorrhagic manifestations, which can include bleeding from various parts of the body, such as nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or blood in the urine and stool.

"I'm truly sorry to hear about the ordeal you went through with Alkhurma hemorrhagic fever in 2002. It must have been an incredibly challenging and frightening experience.
AHF is a serious viral disease, and I'm relieved to hear that you were able to survive despite the lack of a diagnosis at that time. Your resilience and strength are commendable.
While it's unfortunate that there was no test available to diagnose the virus back then, medical advancements have significantly improved since then, enabling better detection and management of such diseases. Your experience underscores the importance of ongoing research and investment in healthcare infrastructure to better identify and treat emerging infectious diseases.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Wishing you continued health and well-being."

@@tinypredators Thank you so much . Yes it was a difficult time for me and for my family . I was just 10 years old but still remember that horrifying time in hospital and countless efforts and love of my Mother. It was my mother's prayer that i could survive.
