Hello everyone,
Sorry I can’t reply to all the comments. Farmers get a lot of bad press that they don’t look after their animals but the farms that I go to they really are pro active in keeping cows comfortable. This farmer went to the extra effort of helping this cow by putting on a block before I came to recheck her on a scheduled visit. The reason for the video was to highlight that we all work together to help all these animals. Thanks for watching, I hope you support your local farms wherever you are from as they really do the best they can for their herd as I’ve shown in this video 😀
Maybe change the title of the video.
Man let's you make a video on his cow and you bash him in the title for views. Bad show.
Lmao something tells me Farmer Brown isn't happy about being talked shit upon for views :D
I will actively avoid your channel and videos in the future. You really should stick to your profession and stay off of RUclips. Maybe even stay away from your profession because of how unprofessional you made yourself look with this video
Ah.... so click bait title. Got it. My next click will be "Don't recommend this channel"
These animals are some of the best cared for animals I have seen. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
Sir Gareth, Thank you for sharing how farmers really do put their animals first. I am so glad that you highlight the compassion of the farmer, the vet and Hoof trimmer. Your work is so important.
He hasn't been knighted, you can just call him Mr.
@@melanisticmandalorian there's a bit of a backstory to Ewa calling them sir. That said, she can call them what she wants.
You blokes rock. I love the way you all care for these precious animals.
Oh - poor cow! Looks like the farmer did his best, but doesn't have your expertise! Good thing he called in the professionals. Well done!
Absolutely good job by farmer and you@TecTV! As my granddad used to say the animals know the difference and care you take, so thank you both.
Hi Gareth, thanks for another great video. She was walking so good after you took care of her.
The farmer took the right
type of care also, until you could get to her. I can't imagine what she would be walking like, had he not took his responsibility to heart.
Take care and stay safe till next time. ❤️
Poor lady, definitely looked painful. Can’t wait to see updates and her healing up.
Farmers are fantastic. They do a great job their animals
So glad that the farmer was proactive!!
Love your content and your accent 😁
Yuk. That looked a mess. Poor creature. Lucky she's got you Gareth. Thanks for the video. Very interesting.
Awww, poor little lady, that looked really painful for her, great job Gareth, but the look on her face as you were about to let her go says it all, but thanks to you and the farmer for taking excellent care of the lovely ladies, well done.👍💙
Look forward to updates.
Sounds like the farmers did good to slow damage down. By scheduling you, they are in good hands now.
I'm a new subscriber. I been watching your videos for about a week. You are so personable and compassionate towards the animals, even though it is your job. Bravo!
A very good Friday morning to you all from Wellington Somerset in the UK
Good job farmer! Good job Gareth! Thanks for taking good care of cows. Thanks for sharing!
another great vid...hello from nova scotia canada
Love your voice 🙂. At times I don’t understand what you say or said but I keep watching !
Thank you.
Thanks Gareth!! Good job there.
Hope your week is good and that the family is all well .👍👍🙏🕊💜
Like always you did a Great job. I love animals and you do too. You’re such an amazing awesome man for taking care of these animals. God bless you and all the farmers that take care of their animals. Keep up the good work. GOD Bless. BE SAFE
It looks to me like the farmer didn't want to get too close to the corium so they did what they could. They put a block on properly and gave her a wrap then have an expert come in and do the finishing details that take more skill and experience. It's like I'm not a doctor, but I know some first aid. I do what I can while trying to get them to an ER that have people that know how to really fix it.
To the guy that called it click bait, can't take a joke huh, I thought it was a pun. Get some humor .
I don't understand your description above... The farmer seemed to try to help the cow... But then the cow died? Or the farmer died? I'm confused...
It was a joke!
Farmers are the best 👍👍next to hood trimmers 😂😂
I don't think the farmer should be fined. He did his best for her and so did the vet. Sometimes I just think farmers need pointing in the right direction when it comes to hoof care.
A very good point there. I'm a farmer myself and isn't very experienced and still learning things myself. I recently lost a duck due to not knowing what the cause was and was very sad and disappointed in myself to discover later that it was something that I could've caught and treated properly if I had known the issue she'd been developing that led to the unfortunate event. It wouldn't be quite fair to be fined for not knowing what the issue was exactly (˘・_・˘). Even with my research I have done to try to help her wasn't enough for me to know what problem had been lurking. All of my other ducks are completely healthy and well and to see my one duck out of all the others had me worried about what was happening and I really tried my best at the time.
I could do without the clickbait headline.
I'm surprised the farmer didn't call you in with that amount of damage.
The farmer may have but they are likely booked pretty solid with regular places. I know other hoof trimmers on here have mentioned sometimes running into things like this and that the farmer told them but they had to wait until they were there again because of such a bust schedule.
Maybe you could not do clickbait titles that make the farmer sound like the bad guy.
Gotta get those views though
Aye but it also makes a person curious enough to watch the vid and find out *why*. That's what it made me do, and I loved it either way
I'm refusing to watch it for that exact reason. It's not ethical and if I were this person's client...well, I'd be calling Graham next time.
Agreed. Not cool.
@@RICDirector Graeme isn't taking new clients and wouldn't take them in other countries if he were. Graeme is also quite good at clickbait titles himself.
Why would you even raise the question of fineing them if they did the right thing or for that matter doing a good job because they know what they are doing ?
Because otherwise a lot of commenters would say "that farmer should be fined for leaving a cow in that condition"
great vid... looks like the farmer was just inexperienced in knowing if there was a sole ulcer
It wasn't a sole ulcer. It started out as a white line lesion
OMG I thought for a moment you were putting adhesive on the dermatitis, but then I saw it was salicylic acid paste! 😅
Salycilsäure ist für DD
Props to the farmer💖👍
It's not the farmer fault they wouldn't be there with out the farmer consent or concerns for the cows , you don't know a cows needs until you have one, keep up the good work guys yous are amazing
I subscribed a long time ago. Y'all are Awesome keep up the good work!!!!!!
Hi Gareth and Tom.
I really enjoy your videos.
Sincerely Ed from Chicago
That's a handsome fella.
Fine him for coffee money for the day...lol
Honestly, I think the farmer did an excellent job.
He should get a medal. Lol
Good job!
I lolled at 5:35 Good job!
if I was this farmer I wouldn't be calling you again
I definitely wouldn’t call him again. He tried to clean it up in the end
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍
Perfect ♡ cheeky title haha but it got you back in my suggested videos! Dont know why it took you out :( love your stuff and beautiful job with that girls poor hoof x
Thanks for the clickbait title! You know it will get seen by the right people.
I would say at least he(farmer) tried to help somewhat until the professionals arrived to completely fix the problem. When I first read your written intro above I thought the had cow died v.v
That poor girl! Hopefully she heals properly.
learning a lot of good stuff !!
That poor cow 🐄 glad you were able to help. The poor girl.
Thank you for sharing.🐄
Hay man your accent off the hook. Real cool accent.
The cow actually looked sad for a moment. Glad you were able to help the cow.
I'm puzzled...where did the idea come from of fining the farmer? Even before your explanation, I didn't think he did anything wrong...he put the block on good enough that you left it...
Its a clickbait title
There are actually states in the US where bills are proposed to ban “non-natural intervention”. If passed, farmers could be fined for doing things like that.
@@JessicaKari81 Those laws would be almost unenforceable. Big Brother cannot possibly police every animal. They can't even deal with the really bad cruelty cases.
Also, a lot of farmers might not have the money to call in a professional every single time something goes wrong.
Awesome
The people that always want to cause the most drama are ALWAYS the same people that have no clue what they’re talking about. Some people absolutely thrive in conflict and negativity and they’ll always look for someone to blame for something to make them think it will make their already miserable lives “better” that farmer did great and so did that dandy hoof trimmer!
Even though I don’t agree with the headline you did do a great job
If this farmer didn't properly fix his cows hoof like it should have been fixed he should be given a warning to not do it again if this was his first offense of doing so...he should have called you first to have you fix the poor cows hoof for you are excellent at what you do for these beautiful cow's & bovines 👍👍❤️🐮🐄🐂🐃
You don't know when he called them in, hoof trimmers don't just turn up by magic when call them. The farmer did excellent first aid treatment, until Gareth could get there. No, he should not be given a warning, that would lead to extended suffering.
Man ya done a fine there 😎😎😎😎😎😎
Another Perfect job Gareth, she’s a happy girl after that treatment , the farmer done a good job but the difference in a pro hoof trimmer is significant for the cows. Ps where’s Da.
Hell YES
Buen trabajo doctor lo ISO muy bien sanal una vaca ,que da buena leche es bueno exelente ,su trabajo !
buatlah vidio evaluasi transformasi setelah perawatan pada kuku sapi
Yay for the farmer 🥰🥰🥰
Thunder, eh? That’s what you get for complaining about the sunniness when you didn’t bring your shades. Glad the farmer had spotted the problem and helped the cow until you came for a complete trim. No way she would have been walking that well if she had been suffering increasing pain for two weeks.
I love your videos keep up the good work you do
MM77 👍🏼👍🏼 Approved
Fine the farmer?!! Never most of those guys put animals first because their animals are their living.
No cow, no roof.
Fine hjm some people are not kind.😢❤❤❤❤❤
I love the intro exercise or should I say the muscle stretch oris it the warm up xx
Do the cows suffer with bad pain or any major infections Gareth,
you should go online and find a bunch of super cheap sunglasses and then leave like 20 pairs in your vehicle. You'd be set for at least 20 days.
👍👍
My heart & soul aches and weeps for all farm animals. 😰😥
I always wondered if when u shave off the hard outer layer of the hoof and the softer underlying part that’s exposed , is that part like us getting our outer layer of skin removed ?? Like is that area super sensitive and painful ?? Just looks like it would be painful if u poked at it or jabbed at it with something. I have never seen any of y’all do that and that’s what makes me assume this. Thanks
My first thought is that the farmer called you to help the poor cow.
So obviously he's doing something right. 👍
Now if he didn't do anything & just allowed the cow to suffer I'd say shut him down.
I don't know why some people think farmers don't pamper their animals, mabye Disney? They need all their animals healthy and happy. Like with anything in life healthy and good attitude is most of it. Little focus and you're doing alright.
Just like the Hoof GP.
🙋🏻♀️ Ótimo trabalho 👏🏻
Gareth so your question implies that farmers can be fined in N.I, so can they?
Have you ever come across a cow that was allergic to the salaslic powder or paste that you put on their hoofs and if you have what other remedies is there?
Why do you use the foam salicylic acid & not the powder for treating digital dermatitis?
The paste stays on the hoof better, especially on windy days.
Poor girl.
Where is this farm?
Farmer did their best and it was a pretty okay job. I believe anyone who owns cows, whether it'd be one or three hundred, should learn how to trim hooves just in case they can't get people like y'all in quick enough.
That’s bad, poor cow
Does anyone else see the smiling evil face in the middle of the cows hoof at 2:30???
I liked the way you went about your work setting this cow on better footing. What I am most disturbed about is the title of this video and making reference to whether the farmer should be fined. You are leaving this farmer open for a visit from some animal welfare group. The farmer did his best before realizing additional assistance was needed. That's all we should expect from the farmer! Please caution yourself in selecting your video titles. If I were this farmer, I am not sure I would continue with your services.
He really isn't, he didn't give out names and addresses or anything, there's a lot of dairy farms in northern Ireland and I very much doubt any "animal welfare" group has the intelligence to find this one, other than by chance. Of course if you mean a real animal welfare group, they will have watched the whole video and probably have a vet watch it too.
@@alistairclement4239 I understand your comment but my concern was not on the individual, it was my concern for the industry.
@@earlbennett4566 well my second point applies there.
You open yourself up to attention from both groups, just by being a dairy farmer.
All videos of hooves treamer I see are from Scotland, is a business only popular around there or is just a coincidence?
These ones are in Ireland, but they're are trimmers around most of the world.
What do you mean by "fined"?
OK! I've got questions to ask: What causes a cows foot to become like that? Was the farmer not aware of foot being injured? How long does it take for an injury like that to develop? How long does it take to properly heal?
Don't think that was an injury. It was digital (?) dermatitis. Infection / inflammation, extremely common. Even the best kept cows in the best conditions can't avoid it. It can take several weeks to heal depending on how the cow responds to treatment. Dermatitis has a nasty habit of coming back over and over again.
The farmer was aware of the problem and put the wooden block on the other toe to relieve her pain until the trimmer could treat her properly.
Where are you located?
What does TEC mean? 🙏
mate that was ugly...that poor cow...good for you nice nice job
Why not use lidocaine spray or shots on these hoofs when accessing close to the flesh or on the flesh.
Because it's illegal for a hoof trimmer to do that.
What in the name of clickbait was that? Well, at least the cow's relatively okay.
Maybe the person that wrote this title needs to own there own farm and see how good they can do cows always damage Their hooves
I am wincing in pain for that poor 1st cow. It looks so horribly painful. Do you ever administer a strong shot of antibiotics when you see that type of sore?
No, he doesn't, that would be illegal. The farmers do though.
Sexiest accent ever. And lovely work on the cow :)
Okay, so just to be clear, the video title is the _exact opposite_ of the situation that you found, and that in fact, he did a good job and deserves kudos. Did I get that right?
LOVE your work but I won't subscribe until the distracting music is removed. It gets in the way of your terrific narration.
😀
