Thanks for posting this. 2005 when we visited Cebu it was closed for some reason and heard that it was reopened late that year. My husband's family is from Talisay. As he said "the Talisay part of the SRP used to be their starting point for their weekly bicycle ride, back in the late 70s to early 80s all the way to Argao." Traffic was a LOT different that time.

Does it look like this on week days. Traffic is very light.
What a great difference from the 70's.

Greetings from the other side of the world. Great commentary by the way and thank you for posting this.
A couple questions, how many miles is it from the north boundary to the south? Are you traveling south?
I would have loved to see the whole video, and how much improvement there was since 1971 - when I visited relatives.

A Cebuano told me that from Talisay, the south beginning of the road, to the airport of Mactan is now only 8 minutes driving. Before, from Basak through the City it took more than an hour. Besides that, I think the South Reclamation Project is not controver-sial at all but a great economical step forward.

the north should have one too D: but i know the road from Cansaga Bridge to Lilo-an but 1 lane only after you passed the bridge :< but it kinda helps it's more effective on traffic whoever is late to go to the airport but in the future i would love to see cebu having freeway's like Manila's NLEX and SLEX :)

I remember when they first opened SRP, i was so glad cause now going to work only took 25 to 30 mins istead of 45 mins to an hour.. I would "FLY."
    Thanx for posting..
by the way i heard that the they painted the sidewalk red as a sign that no vending was aloud there or "para sa mga tindahan". but thats what i heard..

Back then srp wasn't crowded and only few cars drove on the road but after sm seaside opened, srp starts getting thousands of cars and today srp is crowded and always has major traffic. When sm starts a 3 day sale, oh god, heavy traffic starts pouring on the road and you get stuck 😅
