    That toothache tree takes me back. My grandpa used to have us chew those leaves when we were little and It always blew our minds haha still have tons of them on our fence lines on the farm

    I drew the honey bees to my yard this year. They LOVE laying up in & drinking up all the water from my bird bubbler. ❤

    Thanks Pete! That was inspirational! I’m gonna try to get over to your nursery soon! My sister and niece live in Odessa. I don’t think that you are far from them. Keep Pounding Dirt Brother!

    WOW!
    What a beautiful oasis they've created. I love the huge variety of natives and Florida friendly specimens they're growing and the unique edibles as well. I'd love to get my boots on the ground in that space and just meander for awhile. So inviting! Thanks for sharing, Pete. Everyone has their own unique style and I love seeing them all.

    Thank you so much for sharing! I want a backyard just like this but don't know where to start. Think I'll take Daniel's advice and start small, lol.

    I am working on a lot of composting this winter. I love the composting restaurant refuse idea. I grab thrown out yard debris. Keep pounding dirt!

    Zanthoxylum clava herculis, hercules club, is probably my favorite tree! I've got large one I grew from a seed off the hercules club tree in my childhood home in central florida growing in my yard in Virginia. You can use the berries as a substitute for szechuan/sichuan peppercorns in chinese/east asian cooking.

    Where's a good place to live in Florida where you can grow a tropical food forest and not have it destroyed by hurricanes?

    • @PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL
      @PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL  8 месяцев назад +1

      That is tough to answer. Somewhere south enough and inland enough, but no area in FL is immune from possible hurricane damage.
