Starting at 76, you have made it easier. Than if I had just tried this on my own. (Thanks for that) Played earlier at 9 years old for a year before my guitar disappeared, (Dad). Didn't like the delta Blues I was playing. So thanks buddy for the reintroduction into Guitar.

10yrs ago (when 25) I bought an electric and told myself I would gain a good grasp of guitar / music theory and build up to metal. Well I got bogged down in tab books and chord structures and did all my learning with a clean sound so never got to play with distortion, gain or indeed these power chords. I am going to start again and am going to jump straight into power chords and hopefully build up from there 🎉

Thanks for doing a Power Chord lesson! It would be great if you continue on that road and make another few power chord lessons. Power chords seem relatively easy and even beginners can learn to play them, but definitely some techniques and combinations need to be shown. So looking forward to few new episodes about power chords. Rock on!

Marty thank you for doing these videos. I'm a 53 in ten days 54 but I'm picking up a electric guitar with my Boss Katana and trying to learn how to play my kids think I suck and I lost my mind but in time I want them to see if you believe and you work at it you can achieve it. And with your videos it helps me suck less lol. Hopefully in time my wife will appreciate your videos as well because she wants me committed right now because of how much I spent on my equipment. But it's cheaper than some things I could be doing to help with stress. Once again thank you for doing this

Supernice! Thank u Sir! The simple things that I can add. Love them! Best channel! Interesting guitar! Just a singlecoil. It didn't look like the classic tele but maybe it was? I am trying to build a guitar. I made the body smaller than a Strat. To anyone out there who wants to give it a go, it's great fun. A tele is 4.3 mm thick so just find some pieces like that. Actually 3.8 cm to 4 cm will be enough. Glue'em together. Paint! Design your own shape.

I have a problem with my middle finger though. I have long and flexible fingers (but still soft and clumsy), and it would be easier for me to place not the index and ring fingers, but the index and middle fingers. However, as I understand it, this is WRONG. What should I do? I don't feel comfortable keeping my middle finger hovering in the air, being all relaxed between index and ring fingers, doing the job. Should I put my middle finger on my index finger (as if I have a cigarette there), or can I play with index and middle, or should I get over myself and play power chords with my middle finger hovering?

QUESTION!!!!! g to d is a 5th but what exactly makes a fifth? like g to d isn't 5 perfect whole steps. its g,a, then b to c is a *half step* so is there a certain formula that needs to be followed for how to construct a 5th? for example g to b wouldn't be a fifth if we're going by g, g#, a, a# b
