I'm surprised it took this long to get a half dart drum mag. Wouldn't surprise me if Prime Time Toys was developing one on their own for a future blaster too
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised too, if im honest.
EZE is still god tier designer and builder. this combined with his mag loading machine would change everything about inbetween periods of game days.
Unfortunately his mag loading machine can’t be used to load this drum as it requires a very specific loading sequence
glad someone fully utilized the space of a drum mag with a spiral instead of nerf mostly squandering it with their drums being hollow
Wouldnt mind a long dart version for that same reason (i know, blasphemy against the short darts, lol)

Your Trion looks fantastic all painted up. Mag dumps with the MDM in my MK3 always put a smile on my face. I will use mine as the opening magazine in my load out moving on to extended 15 round worker mags.

The Tryon looks great
As much as I love its design, i don't know if its utility justifies the 90 + shipping price tag. I don't think Ezekiel is gouging us or anything. It's just a lot of money.
Parts kits are much cheaper. But, yes, it is not cheap. Innovations almost never are.
@@CaptainXavier Yeah. I definitely am not implying he is trying to set an unfair profit margin. From a fun perspective, if you want a very long pew pew stream this is the best half dart option. So there's absolutely a market. From a practical perspective, it's hard for most to justify this over 3 Koda mags. I did not see the Parts Kit price though, perhaps I'm dumb.
It won't change the game if you don't buy one, definitely a novelty amongst novelties. You can do perfectly well with Talons. But the quality is there for the cost.
Is this the same Ezekiel that gave us an ammo counter years ago? My brain never made the connect until now. I always loved the EZE magwell to use talons with a Stryfe.
Edit: forgot to add, this guy deserves all the moneys. His stuff is always paradigm shifting!
I agree. But having one for your starting mag could be beneficial. I can't see many people having more that 2 maybe 3 as carrying them on the field would be tricky untill someone comes up with a holder or pouch for holding many at one time.
I just got some pieces from him for my good ol Stryker! Love them. Really sending that blaster into the stratosphere.
I actually came up with the idea for something similar independently of Ezekiel. Never tried making it as I just didn't know where to start. Glad to see its a thing now!

I think having one of these as a starting mag would be a good idea. Having somewhere to put it when it runs dry is the main issue. A large dump pouch i guess untill there are mag holders or pouches for them

I have tried Mythical Drum Mag with the Pewpew and found the return spring of the solenoid is not strong enough to overcome the upward pressure. You get 1 shot before the solenoid hangs up on top of the next dart in the mag. Also the FTW solenoid with 1 spring.
The Meowser and FDL-3 are flawless as well as springers. Just too much pressure on weak return springs.
The return arm spring in the Spectrum also failed for the first dozen rounds, I anticipate Stryfe will also fail without a strong spring on the back of the pusher.

Btw, decided to just buy the 2 cell charger from Out of Darts along with 6 Coolook IMR for my Ravenfire and V3 select fire Stryfe. I'm happy again, cheers! =D

As far as I know it actually can feed ludicrously fast, it’s just the solenoid in the pewpew isn’t strong enough to overcome the follower
This is correct, it can easily feed over 60 darts a second

I would have to disassemble mine and rebuild it and I would rather not. I did not film it as an instructional build, I just followed the instructions.

Captain, how hard was it to put together ?
I had a little trouble with the main spring. But after that it was simple enough. For me anyway. I have heard others have had issues.
Assembly difficulties mainly revolve around installing the spring, but all of them have been and are continuingly being resolved. Affects about 1 in 50 drum mag assemblies.

Apparently, as several people have commented, saying it can.
And for a fully built one....is 100+ dollars....
Just buy the files and print them yourself. That's always been the better option.

@@RoxyBricks printing is 90% of the cost for most things which is why it is priced at it is. With printers getting cheaper, better, and easier by the day there's no real excuse not to have a printer especially if you're in the custom nerf community. This drum mag is a work of at and is well worth the price if you don't want to print one yourself
@@chazman752000 fair, and I don't disagree, I've put alot into this hobby and I will buy this mag eventually, I'm just so use to mags being so cheap, even printed mags never reached over 30
So it's just such a jarring price
