I stopped watching Blair after how disrespectful and dismissive she was of Cruel World Happy Mind. It was clear shes akin to Creepshow with how sheisty and self concerned she is.
Yep, that was about the time I stopped following her too. Madison (Cruel World Happy Mind) is a much better creator and I'm happy her channel is doing very well.
honestly, if CreepShow Art was a Mob Family, Illuminaughtii is a corrupt government. If Creepshow didn't bounce back from that, She shouldn't bounce back from this.
I used to watch iilluminaughtii and always felt like she was catty. You could always feel her demeanor change when she'd talk about opinion. Her videos went downhill and always felt incomplete. I didn't really know much about her dramas until all this LegalEagle stuff. Figuring out she targeted CWHM is upsetting. I love Madison. She creates amazing videos. I always look forward to them. Blaire saying that Madison's videos were annoying and poor quality is eye rolling. Good riddance.
Yeah, the whole thing around Cruel World Happy Mind years ago was around the time when I unsubbed from Blair. Not too long after Madison made her video, Blair made a community post saying that the two of them talked things out (in retrospect, likely done for appearances due to her finally feeling a bit of heat). I commented telling Blair that I resubbed to her channel happy to see that it was taken care of sooner rather than later. After that, Blair blocked me xD
This! I used to watch her too, but she got petty and cruel in her essays, like past the point of what's acceptable for her kind of content. I literally blocked her channel from my recommendations. I didn't know about this drama but I'm also not surprised.
The fact that iilluminaughtii threw Wonder's play button in the trash makes me infuriated, having his play button thrown away is similar to having his hard work thrown away
It wasn't just the play button either. She took the car with all or most of their belongings at the time, and never gave it back. This included a lot of expensive electronics as well. The play button sucks, but they basically stole someones livelihood.
I rather just do everything myself tbh... on my main channel I have a large following and slowly learning every RUclipsr is wierd af. They literally act like their GODS or better than everyone they talk to. I got to 300k by myself literally no help or collab with any youtuber and ima keep it that way. I love my community I've build on Discord and allow them to make changes... call me out on bad video ideas I did or w.e. But none of my Mods have too much power cus I dnt want abuse going on. I'm very much involved in the server. Seeing videos like this makes me know I'm doing the right path. I dnt ever wanna run into a YT like her at all
I’ve always had a bad taste for her since one time I was watching her live, and a fan who had the username of something like BeyonceFan123 sent her a superchat of like $20 saying how much of a fan they were of the channel… and Blair’s only response was “I really don’t like Beyoncé”… that was such a weird response to a gift
this is a good teachable moment, honestly -- the only way Blair has done any good. see, there is no reason on earth a good, humble creator would let something like that slip, because they will never be so flippant as to take every donation for granted like that. if someone's reaction is rude they are capable of being rude always and then you have to ask yourself, what kind of creator gets so big for their breeches they start treating fans' money as a given? a bad one, that's who.

Blair is a real-life example of pride before the fall . Even after the whole legal eagle situation, had she just apologize to legal eagle and made a joke about it (in reference to her content or something along those lines ) she would have been fine but people get arrogant
With the ways how a lot of people have been ignoring her shitty behaviours, people would have just swept The click's and wonder's tweets under the rug and forget it. If only she hadn't make a response video where she tried to ruin those two instead of just admitting her mistake for false accusations and apologizing to Legaleagle. She is the one who escalated the situation, only because she is too proud to admit what she is in the wrongs or say sorry genuinely instead pulling the 'sorry but the other people are worse than me' stunt. She gets herself into this and it's quite funny.
Illuminaughti was really giving off "Fine Brothers trademarking the entire react genre" vibe with CWHM and showed that side again with Legal Eagle now, with consistent peeks throughout the years with how overall controlling she is. The ego and arrogance in believing she's the only Anti-MLM channel; it's honestly irresponsible to be that willingly ignorant when your channel is as big, well known, and well respected as hers is. It's one thing to try to remain objective, but you also need to have mild social awareness too.
I'm so glad you bought up the issue this Madison. Blair let rip into her for no bloody reason. Madison is such a sweet human. It was the constant "She's a small youtuber"... how condescending. Blair got credited as a source... Despite Blair being the voice. That's it. She doesn't write her scripts, she doesn't edit her own videos, she doesn't even thank her team on her videos. Never managed to lose respect for a "creator" that i liked, so fast.
Yeah I completly agree. I did not like the way she responded to the situation. I've been a fan of Madison for a while, ever since he first few videos and when this drama happened it made me not like iiluminaughtii and I stopped subscribing to her. Even though Madison is smaller, she is sweet and has a nice personality and way of looking at things and pointing out flaws and complaints without being too harsh. Blair's style is much different and it was okay, but the way she spoke about the situation on the podcast was out of pocket.
CWHM is an amazing channel, and Madison seems like the most wonderful person. I’ve also got to say, I was considerably more interested to hear her takes on anything modelling related, because she was a model. In any event, her videos are honestly a “never miss” for me, and her growth both as a channel and as a creator have been very impressive given that she seems to actually be the force behind her channel, unlike Blaire.
honestly am i the only one that finds it incredibly weird how blair approaches content creation? like i can understand having a contract for an editor, but handling it like it's an entire company feels so...??? idk, it just feels weird as fuck somehow, probably because she's the one in charge so she absolutely designed it like a content farm, but man. she really does not care about anyone she can use huh!

One thing that always bugged me in Blaire Witch's slander on CWHM on that one podcast is that: She claims "I thought I was on my own little island, I thought I was doing my own thing, apparently there _is_ this little anti MLM community," but then goes on to say "I don't watch other anti MLM videos, I have the topic blocked because I don't want to know what other people have to say." In like the same damn breath. Straight up contradictions right off the bat, you either don't know there's other Anti-MLM people out there, or you do absolutely know so you have the topic "blocked." either way it's fishy.

I watch anti-mlm content and there ARE creators that, while they want to make sure folks know about scams and bad business practices, they also look at this as a job, so they tend to stay in their own lane, not comment on other creators' private/personal lives, etc. CC Suarez is one such creator. It's possible to engage in the space you are a member of without stooping to the lows Blair has.
Literally was about to say this. States she just has nooo clue that other people talk about MLM issues (firstly, bull, that's just a load of it. That's like someone starting up a video game channel and being like, "Oh, what? I had no clue other people made video game content, whaaat?"), but apparently, simultaneously, has the topic preblocked to avoid engaging with other peoples' content. Both things can't be true at once.

I originally thought everyone was jumping to conclusions since I did watch her channel. After actually getting past the innocent persona, I realized who she was. Sad that she is so good at pretending a lot of us actually cared or liked her for a bit.

I used to watch her but after seeing The Click's video I unsubbed, I used to love her MLM videos. Kind of hypocritical of her that she always goes on about how bad the companies are for their controversies yet she landed herself in one.
Yeah, that was pretty much my response when I saw The Click's video as well. Just... how disturbed and distraught he was with the doobieshmurtz stuff finding out it was Blair. I also had a bunch of her vids in my "Watch Later" list... that made for a significant amount of space cleared up on there after the fact. It'll be interesting to see how she reacts to all of this stuff now.
I wasn't subbed but still occationally watched her stuff (only occationally as I did find her narration style annoying after awhile). After Click's vid I deleted every one of her videos from my history to stop her showing up in my feed.

I used to be in her Discord server. I don't recall the specifics, but she was rather unhinged at one point and I called her out on it. As a result, I got muted by her. So, I reached out to one of the mods to report on HER. The mod basically went "Well, it's her server, so she can do whatever she wants, including breaking the rules of her own server." After that I got banned. XD
I didn’t even know that she went after Cruel World Happy Mind and that upsets me so much because Madison seems like such a sweet person. Unfortunately, I don’t think Blair will have much of a takedown since most of her viewers are casual. I know I was. Her videos would pop up and I’d watch because they seemed interesting and I believe that’s what most people who view her channel are like. If she were smart, Blair would take down her 'apology' because it did the exact opposite of what she wanted. I came into the drama blind and her video was the first one I saw about it and just wow. So many red flags! The first few minutes are okay but when she gets to Sad Milk, it goes off the rails. By the end of her attempted character assassination, she looks absolutely terrible and manipulative. So if any future casual viewer stumbles in it, they may be totally put off. She isn't even a good manipulator in the video, she has just been able to strong arm others with her size and hope they didn't want to get into drama.

I never liked her, even before her boom in popularity. She lied so condescendingly, she was always shady, extremely lazy, won't put in proper research or work into her own content, yet claims to be a moral arbiter. I'm so, incredibly glad that everyone is seeing her for who she really is now.
I had actually just recently become a fan right before the CWHM drama, and i definitely got Weird Vibes from the way she handled it, but i just kinda rug swept it since she and CWHM seemed to have come to a private agreement. Its both enlightening and horrifying to see what that "resolution" was, ive since disavowed her, but its pretty tough looking back on that and thinking maybe i should have listened to my gut and then this drama wouldnt be such a gut punch
Not even knowing about the CWHM drama, Blair has had 2 strikes with me personally (the second being her recent controversy, the first being her blatant political bias in a previous video she did, which is not something you should have in a docuseries-style channel). The CWHM issue is close to being strike 3, and the more I learn about it, probably will be.

@@guitarbass22 thats true, i noticed a tad bit of that bias subconsciously i suppose now that i think about it, but since im not too much into politics, what i did pick up on was me assuming she was using her platform to talk about how harmful some of these issues can be, and i ended up watching her content for a mix of information and her take on said information because it usually lined up with my thoughts, but then there were a few episodes that it felt like she was reeeally stretching but because i dont have the mental bandwidth to actually look further into these issues, i just ignored any bias and just listened to the content to help keep me up to date. Its sad because some of the videos that have dropped after the fact have subjects that seem intriguing (the plastic surgery video comes to mind) but i just cant bring myself to give her any more views/clicks (with the exception of occasionally checking the apology video to see if anyone has any good takes in the comments, and because im nosy, check the amount of likes vs views lmao)

But there were some points in her political video that showed blatant bias, and others that were downright wrong (makes me question what sources SHE was using 🤣). But, I shrugged it off, because while it didn’t come close to qualifying as a “Dark Dive,” it was still a decent video, and a one-off because up until then I enjoyed most of her content for the last few years. But then this controversy came out, and wow 🤣🤣 it really makes one wonder (sorry for the pun) how she reacts to those who disagree with her, and how “factual” some of her facts really are, especially taking into account that both Click and Wonder have disproven most of her points she made in her response video.
I was subscribed to her and enjoyed her videos but never heard of this drama until her ‘apology’ video was posted as I don’t have Twitter. The ‘apology’ video seemed very off to me as I subscribed to Legal Eagle around the same time I subscribed to Illuminati. I was already unsubscribed from Illuminati by the time The Click posted his video. I’ve already been subscribed to The Click for a few months and subscribed to both One Topic and Wonderstruck to try and show them some support.. I’m not just angry with Blair for what she did to all the creators I’ve mentioned but I stopped watching another creator’s videos because they accepted sponsorships from a company she ‘exposed’. I never unsubscribed from that other creator but now I feel like I can’t believe a single thing that has ever come out of Blair’s mouth.

Blair is one of the handful of creators that I hope don’t make a comeback. I think when Internet personalities are “exposed” a lot of people don’t leave room for nuance and common sense and instead are fueled by the excitement of the drama. But I think all of these come down to a case by case basis. There are some people that have changed or are capable of changing and they should be encouraged to do so. But there are people like iiluminaughtii that are insanely narcissistic, manipulative and egotistical that I don’t personally think can change for the better. At least not for a long time and I don’t think people like that should have any support. She hurt so many people because of her insecurities and rage. I never liked her or creepshow but every time I’ve voiced when I don’t like certain youtubers or get a bad feeling about them I’m berated by their rabid stans lol Best to let the trash take itself out because it always does eventually🚮

You forgot what happened with r/slash, which was before the MLM drama. Before Blair started to do anti-MLM content, she used to read posts from Reddit. At the same time, another Reddit reader/youtuber named r/slash gained A LOT of popularity and grew very fast. Blair (alongside other Reddit RUclipsrs) accused r/slash of buying bots. This was proven false, and shortly afterwards, Blair scrubbed her YT channel of Reddit content and changed over to her current anti MLM format. Not sure if you can still find the evidence of this controversy, but she's been this way LONG before the controversies you've covered in this video.

She could’ve (and should’ve) owned up to her mistakes after he released his video disproving her accusations and apologized but instead deleted it and acts like it never happened. She’s a trash human being and this has been a long time coming.

This is the first cover of Blaire I've found that has information I haven't heard before. Very cool, very appreciated. Speaking of sub-bot accusations, though, I know everyone remembers the mess with Happy Mind, but I'm surprised everyone forgot the little war she tried to wage against RSlash in the early days of his channel making the same accusations when the Algorithm really started pushing his videos. Makes me wonder how many other things she's been able to get away with over the years.
I stopped watching her a long time when i realised she was a low quality content farm, and recently I've seen like 5 seperate channels each post a half hour plus video talking about their interactions with her and showing receipts. She is terrible and always has been terrible, she just used to be a bit better at hiding it. That said even with her hiding things looking back there was a mountain of hints.

But hearing how awful she's been to other creators I absolutely love makes me so mad that I was supporting her. I had an ex that acted like her and it fills me with disgust and fear. To be fair, Illuminaughti has always had an air of arrogance and pretension to herself. I only ever really liked her when she was on Sad Milk a couple years back, and that's because she wasn't being overly political, and she had Oz Media and Damian Lee to carry her unfunny jokes.

What she did is the equivalent of McDonald's villainizing the old lady who almost died from their hot coffee burning her when she spilled it... Just because she's a "big" channel doesn't make her special and entitled to others' work
What happened is Blair's misbehavior finally hit the _tipping point._ It's just too much to ignore now and people figure enough is enough. They let things slide not just for fear of her large fanbase but because their own experiences with her- however horrible- were isolated enough. But there's now enough to show a _pattern_ of ego and abuse, which is encouraging people to speak out, which further substantiates said pattern. Really doesn't help her misbehavior makes _hypocriitical_ given the topics of her videos and the amount of (self-)righteousness she puts into them.
i always loooved Madison more then Blair and will always love her more cause she is the most pure being i ever saw and heard when she talk its like never taking a side just saying the facts and what she herd 💖💖 and to be honest i try to get in to Iilluminaughtii's video i just cant they are to boring to me i feel like i am back in school sorry! ;w;

I think I remember this lady from a while ago when she first started off youtube by reading out reddit stories. She seemed like every other channel who post reddit stories up until she eventually got herself in some drama, so there was always something about her that bothered me after I found out about her new type of content. I wonder if anyone else remembers this era since it was sort of niche (at the time)
She kinda got away with it as long as she did because she picked her targets pretty well: Tommy C and Nick Deorio are pretty much mini-keemstars and all around pricks, so anything you do to them probably won't elicit much tears from anyone. Tipster is bit different, but he's also burned lot of good will by uncritically supporting John Swan(and few others), so lot thought he got his just desserts. He recently turned on John Swan and recorded a phone call with him in secret to an expose, but that instead of reversing Tipster's fortunes, it just seemed to do the opposite. Rather than new info that tipster uncovered, it just seemed he tried to save his own bacon. Cruel world happy mind was kind of a oversight, like legal eagle. They really didn't do anything, so Blaire had to rely on her bigger rep to make a difference.

Not too long after Madison made her video, Blair made a community post saying that the two of them talked things out (in retrospect, likely done for appearances due to her finally feeling a bit of heat). Yeah I completly agree. I did not like the way she responded to the situation. I've been a fan of Madison for a while, ever since he first few videos and when this drama happened it made me not like iiluminaughtii and I stopped subscribing to her. Even though Madison is smaller, she is sweet and has a nice personality and way of looking at things and pointing out flaws and complaints without being too harsh. Blair's style is much different and it was okay, but the way she spoke about the situation on the podcast was out of pocket.
CWHM is an amazing channel, and Madison seems like the most wonderful person. I’ve also got to say, I was considerably more interested to hear her takes on anything modelling related, because she was a model. In any event, her videos are honestly a “never miss” for me, and her growth both as a channel and as a creator have been very impressive given that she seems to actually be the force behind her channel, unlike Blaire.

Yeah, that was pretty much my response when I saw The Click's video as well. Just... how disturbed and distraught he was with the doobieshmurtz stuff finding out it was Blair. I also had a bunch of her vids in my "Watch Later" list... that made for a significant amount of space cleared up on there after the fact. It'll be interesting to see how she reacts to all of this stuff now.
I wasn't subbed but still occationally watched her stuff (only occationally as I did find her narration style annoying after awhile). After Click's vid I deleted every one of her videos from my history to stop her showing up in my feed.

If she were smart, Blair would take down her 'apology' because it did the exact opposite of what she wanted. I came into the drama blind and her video was the first one I saw about it and just wow. So many red flags! The first few minutes are okay but when she gets to Sad Milk, it goes off the rails. By the end of her attempted character assassination, she looks absolutely terrible and manipulative. So if any future casual viewer stumbles in it, they may be totally put off. The CWHM issue is close to being strike 3, and the more I learn about it, probably will be.

@@guitarbass22 thats true, i noticed a tad bit of that bias subconsciously i suppose now that i think about it, but since im not too much into politics, what i did pick up on was me assuming she was using her platform to talk about how harmful some of these issues can be, and i ended up watching her content for a mix of information and her take on said information because it usually lined up with my thoughts, but then there were a few episodes that it felt like she was reeeally stretching but because i dont have the mental bandwidth to actually look further into these issues, i just ignored any bias and just listened to the content to help keep me up to date. Its sad because some of the videos that have dropped after the fact have subjects that seem intriguing (the plastic surgery video comes to mind) but i just cant bring myself to give her any more views/clicks (with the exception of occasionally checking the apology video to see if anyone has any good takes in the comments, and because im nosy, check the amount of likes vs views lmao)

I’ve already been subscribed to The Click for a few months and subscribed to both One Topic and Wonderstruck to try and show them some support.. I’m not just angry with Blair for what she did to all the creators I’ve mentioned but I stopped watching another creator’s videos because they accepted sponsorships from a company she ‘exposed’. I never unsubscribed from that other creator but now I feel like I can’t believe a single thing that has ever come out of Blair’s mouth.

Blair is one of the handful of creators that I hope don’t make a comeback. I think when Internet personalities are “exposed” a lot of people don’t leave room for nuance and common sense and instead are fueled by the excitement of the drama.
But I think all of these come down to a case by case basis. There are some people that have changed or are capable of changing and they should be encouraged to do so. But there are people like iiluminaughtii that are insanely narcissistic, manipulative and egotistical that I don’t personally think can change for the better. At least not for a long time and I don’t think people like that should have any support. She hurt so many people because of her insecurities and rage. I never liked her or creepshow but every time I’ve voiced when I don’t like certain youtubers or get a bad feeling about them I’m berated by their rabid stans lol

Speaking of sub-bot accusations, though, I know everyone remembers the mess with Happy Mind, but I'm surprised everyone forgot the little war she tried to wage against RSlash in the early days of his channel making the same accusations when the Algorithm really started pushing his videos. Makes me wonder how many other things she's been able to get away with over the years.
I stopped watching her a long time when i realised she was a low quality content farm, and recently I've seen like 5 seperate channels each post a half hour plus video talking about their interactions with her and showing receipts.
She is terrible and always has been terrible, she just used to be a bit better at hiding it. That said even with her hiding things looking back there was a mountain of hints.

It makes me sad and disgusted because I used to religiously watch her content when uploaded, the Reddit stuff, MLM takedowns... But hearing how awful she's been to other creators I absolutely love makes me so mad that I was supporting her. I had an ex that acted like her and it fills me with disgust and fear. Someone that acts like that having that much power is a recipe for disaster
I love how she genuinely thinks that just because shes used as a source in a video that she cant also be copying the same video/creator. Shes so daft its pathetic.

Ngl I had assumed that most of this “controversy” was just inflated drama and the internet maulding at a big creator at first, but someone had mentioned in a yt comment about “what she did to CruelWorldHappyMind” and I decided to finally look more into the situation. Im extremely disappointed and angry at Blaire, she was one of my favorite creators and I believed and defended her when she first made her response video. Now it just seems like she’s near CreepShowArt levels of harassment and bullying, and I feel like she really needs to take a look in the mirror to realize why she loses everyone she makes friends with

I keep watching videos to see if anyone will discuss her Reddit period. She was doing the exact same stuff then but no one is talking about it & it is basically impossible to find the old videos from that period of her going after people.
Yeah. Many had known her to be manipulative as heck for a long time. I was already wary of her from seeing her comment sections on multiple videos calling her out but I jumped ship when she appeared on that podcast and lied and gaslit the audience

I love how she criticized Cruel World for not having enough sources when she literally started her career reading reddit posts and pumping them out once a day (maybe twice a day at one point but that might've been rslash and not her). I was subscribed to her during that era because I missed SorrowTV and didn't want to actually go on Reddit but yeah, that is fucking hilarious that she'd criticize a small creator for that.
Was Cruel World a little quick to message her? Sure, but she admits that multiple times. I'd already unsubscribed to Blair by the point Cruel World Happy Mind posted about this and I laughed because I assumed she was still doing reddit videos,
To be fair, Illuminaughti has always had an air of arrogance and pretension to herself. I only ever really liked her when she was on Sad Milk a couple years back, and that's because she wasn't being overly political, and she had Oz Media and Damian Lee to carry her unfunny jokes.
Imagine fucking up so bad that your ex collaborators feel the need to remind people they don't talk to you anymore, and then lying yourself into a corner until your career evaporates

honestly, justice for madison. even if blair WASNT copying her, weaponizing your following like that is so gross.
What happened is Blair's misbehavior finally hit the _tipping point._ It's just too much to ignore now and people figure enough is enough. They let things slide not just for fear of her large fanbase but because their own experiences with her- however horrible- were isolated enough. But there's now enough to show a _pattern_ of ego and abuse, which is encouraging people to speak out, which further substantiates said pattern. Really doesn't help her misbehavior makes _hypocriitical_ given the topics of her videos and the amount of (self-)righteousness she puts into them.
i always loooved Madison more then Blair and will always love her more cause she is the most pure being i ever saw and heard when she talk its like never taking a side just saying the facts and what she herd 💖💖 and to be honest i try to get in to Iilluminaughtii's video i just cant they are to boring to me i feel like i am back in school sorry! ;w;

The lies she told about Cruel World Happy Mind were horrendous! It is too bad that she acts the way she does because I liked her videos but I unsubbed after learning all of the awful things she has done. Something is really wrong with her.

I think I remember this lady from a while ago when she first started off youtube by reading out reddit stories. She seemed like every other channel who post reddit stories up until she eventually got herself in some drama, so there was always something about her that bothered me after I found out about her new type of content. I wonder if anyone else remembers this era since it was sort of niche (at the time)

She kinda got away with it as long as she did because she picked her targets pretty well: Tommy C and Nick Deorio are pretty much mini-keemstars and all around pricks, so anything you do to them probably won't elicit much tears from anyone.
Tipster is bit different, but he's also burned lot of good will by uncritically supporting John Swan(and few others), so lot thought he got his just desserts. He recently turned on John Swan and recorded a phone call with him in secret to an expose, but that instead of reversing Tipster's fortunes, it just seemed to do the opposite. Rather than new info that tipster uncovered, it just seemed he tried to save his own bacon.
Cruel world happy mind was kind of a oversight, like legal eagle. They really didn't do anything, so Blaire had to rely on her bigger rep to make a difference.

Omg, I didn't know about this, and this is my fave genre on youtube, someone please give me suggestions of other youtubers i can watch, cause if @iilluminaughtii is a bully i can't be behind that, because it took me 30yrs to love myself, because of childhood bullying. For context I was the only black kid in a German school, right after apartheid. So this thing of wanting to dim other peoples shine, as though it makes her shine any less is weird and sad to me, cause she really was one of my fave creators on here.

I watched a few of Blair's MLM videos and - while I trusted what she said - there were instances in said videos where I felt a nuanced take was needed and some of her arguments teetered on bad faith. Something just came off as ick regarding her. Glad to know my impression from years ago turned out to be correct. Follow your instincts kids!
