      Yes, it makes me feel more relaxed when I'm not stuffed. Having a very full stomach is a strain on your body and it's more difficult to relax. But it's also not good to eat only once a day, we must eat several smaller healthy meals spread out throughout the day. That way, you're not straining your body with a fuller stomach, but still getting the adequate nutrition we need. You can't get your adaquate daily amount of vitamins and minerals on only one meal a day unless you eat so much in that meal that you're straining your body

    I have only eaten 1 meal a day for the last five years. Once you train your body it's easy to do! I never feel hungry

      Yea its great. Im not completely on omad but i fast 18-20 hours daily. I still eat alot WHEN i eat, but less frequently. I even workout everytime on empty stomach.
      I have so much more energy and went from a medium size to XL shirt the last 2 years. Its great for muscles!

      Same, i cant even understand how people eat 3 times a day. Around holidays only when its the only time i eat 2-3-4 meals a day, i feel sooooo sick after.

      Your muscles are made up of protein and water. So, if you don't regularly supply your muscles with these nutrients throughout the day, you'll lose a significant amount of muscle mass over time. On top of that, you'll also gain more and more fat. Everyone starts to lose muscle mass at a certain age. Eating only once a day accelerates this process. The only way to truly benefit from strength training is to eat well and regularly. Muscles aren't just aesthetically pleasing; they protect and are very important.

    I'm going to try this method. For the first 5 days I'm doing 2 meals a day. I ate at 7:00 am and will have my next at 6:00 pm. The next 5 days, 6 am meal, then 7 pm meal. Then there after 1 meal a day. My goal is 150 lbs. I'm 67 years old, 220 lbs now. Wish me luck.
    Update. Today is 3/4/26 as of today I lost 2 inch around my belly. Having a hard time with minor pain of my stomach and intestine. I've been eating right. I weigh 207 lbs. Which is good. Gonna try some Greek yogurt to help in digestion. I cheated twice on some fast food that I ate slowly.

      with diabetes 2, I try this, after 3 month I got a terrifying break down called KETO ACIDOSIS, which put me in the hospital, lost so much weight, MG! I tough its my end. controlling my food and doubling my medicine I cant say that this way to eat, is good for every body, mi doctor say eating healthy is the way to keep this KETO ACIDOSIS under control, be careful ,😇

    Many years ago I only ate once a day. I felt good and was able to work hard. Then due to a disability, I was forced to stop working, I sat around and started to snack. I gained a lot of weight. Finally after years of doing poorly, I've gone back to eating once a day, watching what I eat and I'm loosing weight. I'm starting to feel better. It's not easy after years of not eating properly. But I have no choice if I want to get healthy again.
    However, I'm getting a lot of push back from people who insist I must eat three meals a day. They need to watch this video.
    Side note: If you want to see how something should be done, watch the habits of animals. Predator animals like lions will hunt, gorge themselves and then rest and sleep. We too are predators. Back when I was working and only eating once a day, I ate at night then went to bed soon afterwards. So I believe you should eat, then rest and let the body digest. Then get up and work and only drink liquids to stay hydrated until evening. Then do it all over again.

    I've always eaten one healthy meal a day, no sugar, less salt, no sauces or gravy, drink tons of water. I'm 60 and have no chronic conditions. I've decided to do muscle strength exercise. I thank GOD for my good health

      Yes,and if have internet in your home or on a cell phone you can Google muscle strength exercises for a female or male age 60 and over., these muscle strengthening exercises for 60 and older are specifically for the age group and aren’t as stressful on your body, if you have any type of medical or back problems, make sure to Google or search for that specific thing also. ( Example: Muscle building exercises/female 60 and over with back problems ,or of course what ever your medical diagnosis may be. Congratulations just the same, and good luck.

      @WtfWhy-tl2zl I Iost 20 kg and removed all of my immune deficiencies and life long respiratory problems. The doctor couldn't fix me. I fixed myself. Fasting also initiates autophagy where you consume your old body cells whilst creating new ones. I'll never go back to the way I was. I was throwing up 1-2 times a week trying to clear the mucus. 70 years old now with better breathing than I've ever had.

      Eat every two hours, food that you prepare at home from the get-go, not processed foods, and also your juices, and you will live longer. I know for sure you have problems not known to you, about your liver, heart, rectum, stomach, intestine, and cephalus. Your system is to be working processing food every two hours, good food, natural food. The only time your system needs a break is at night. From the time you wake up to the time you lay down to go to sleep at night, you need to feed your system.

      I don’t eat crap anymore’ docs visit scared me all home made sources soups samon bit of chicken tin sardines brown rice lots greens’ I never liked processed food lots water. I have one meal a day if I want anything else fruit bit Greek yogurt natural my skin does look better.     I started eating this way due to necessity -- too busy to eat more than once a day AND I cant really afford to eat more than 1 "good/healthy" meal per day...
    People regularly assume I work out a lot to be so fit... Nope! Just eating 1 quality meal a day and working out literally once in a very rare blue moon maybe 60 days/year include an intentional workout, usually to release stress😅

    I’m 70 now and retired. I’ve put on a bit of weight but not drastically. When I was working I would have a cup of unsweetened tea in the morning and a couple more cups during the day and ate when I got home at 17.30 pm. I had that routine for 35 years. 👍

      I'm a 5' 10" male and have not in the last 53 years weighed more than 175 pounds.
      Waist is still 30 inches, legs are 32
      Still do heavy work here on the farm every day.

      @trinity0844 my dad is 76, he's a one meal a day type, he's been fourteen and a half stone since the age of eighteen, he's always stayed the exact same weight throughout his life... I'm a one meal a day type, but I fluctuate in size, but that's probably sugar intake,
      I could easily drink sweet tea as a sport...

      ​Explanation: Jesus teaches that sin begins in the mind; wanting someone sexually who is not your spouse is the same as the physical act of cheating in God's eyes.
      ​1 Corinthians 6:18-19: "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"
      ​Explanation: Run away from sexual sin because it damages your own spirit and body, which actually belongs to God and houses His Spirit.
      ​1 Corinthians 6:9-10: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
      ​Explanation: Do not be fooled; those who live lives defined by sexual sin, idol worship, or drunkenness will not be allowed into heaven.
      ​Sexual immorality is a sin not just against your own body but against God as well.
      In the New Covenant, the "handwriting of ordinances" was blotted out and nailed to the cross (Colossians 2:14). This ended the ceremonial laws (sacrifices, feast days, and temple rituals) and the dietary laws regarding clean and unclean meats.
      ​Laws Fulfilled and Removed

    I’ve been eating one meal a day since I can remember. At least 30 years. I have weighed between 130-135 lbs most of my life. I’m literally never sick

      Same here bro!! I'm 40 years old, And my entire life I eat only a huge supper until im full. And usually late at night couple hours before bed. I always have energy, and I'm never ever sick. Only time I was sick in the past 10 years was due to food poisoning. I didn't know about you can't store opened pasta sauce in open can , in the fridge. Because the oxygen interacts with the tomato and metal. Besides that I am never ever sick. And didn't take the Mr na bullcrap either. I did start eating lunches like 4 or 5 times a year, which is basically eggs and bacon in the afternoon. No preservatives or food dye or any crap in the shit that I eat. Only natural , except for cola. I'm guilty of drinking cola everyday. I will quit soon

      Part of my problem with weight gain was going out of the office for lunch. I had back pain I wanted to eliminate so I was REALLY motivated to lose the lard. I was always active at work so didn't need a workout gym. Took me 15 months to lose 100 lbs.
      Decided I needed to cut out as much fat as possible. On the way to work I'd have a banana as I needed to watch my potassium too. At 10"00-10:30 I'd have my pre-lunch snack to stave off hungries. Pears are great for this as they fill you up and it was great season of pears.❤
      At lunch I'd turn down the usual invites for pizza buffet. I'd have ONE chunk of Hersheys Dark Chocolate for the sweet tooth, and not one speck more. Then 2:00 to 3:00 have another snack, usually a pear as they were so awesome. Then be filled to well past getting home.
      We cut down eating out by 90%. If we did a restaurant we'd order small portions or just take 1/2 home. Instead of half a pizza, I reduced intake to 1 or 2 slices depending on size. Soon it became second nature to do the right things. At the end of my program I decided to celebrate by having a Burger King hamburger and small fries. Oh, that was gross feeling the slime in my mouth and an hour later it felt like my skin pores were oozing grease.
      Yuk.>!! That was 15 years ago and up to today I still don't like greasy food or oozing grease. LOL
      What started as a back pain reliever attempt permanently changed my diet and weight, BUT my back pain did not go away, not even a little.

In my case I have a fast metabolism plus my job has me on my feet all day so I have 3 meals a day but lately I have been snacking more and minimizing my portions. I definitely want to break junk food for good, I want to stop eating out, currently I eat out maybe once-twice a month but would love to buy no processed food or feel tempted by eating junk food. That would be my next goal 😅

    I remember switching to OMAD. The first three days were a fight with my own body; absolutely horrible - Imagine your body constantly screaming for food. On the third day, I gorged myself, just to get rid of the feeling. After experiencing the guilt wave (and not giving in), I returned to OMAD on the fourth day, and it was easier every day after than. Now I can easily not eat until the end of the day, as long as I don't start - if I eat breakfast, my body will scream during the afternoon. If I don't eat breakfast, there's no screaming in the afternoon, and I can easily surf the wave of non-hunger until dinner.
    Sure, sometimes I'll have a day when I'll eat 3 meals (2 meals typically in the weekend), but it got so much easier over time. Acknowledge any guilt you may feel, and re-affirm that going OMAD is something akin a marathon, not a sprint. If a runner falls during a marathon, he'll get back up and keep on going on, and so will you.

    Me my mom and my son are doing this. We all have lost weight and feel better. I had three spinal fusion between 2024 and 2025 and gained alot of weight. I couldn’t exercise so I started using zepbound in May of 2025 and weighed 255lbs I stopped using it in September of 2025 due to it making me sick. I weighed 210lbs I knew I had to do something so I found omad and walk as much as I can with my walker(about a mile a day) I now weigh 187lbs and and feel great. Good luck everyone you can do it. I’m 52yo and 5’8” btw so it’s never too late

      I met a man while walking on the beach- he was 20 years older than me and basically running. He stopped to talk to me and told me that two years before his Dr. had told him, exercise or you're on your way out. He had heart problems and weighed a ton (almost literally) and said than when he began he could only walk two steps before he was exhausted but he stuck with it and did more every day no matter how hard, and two years later he was a normal weight and could run circles around me. And very alive.

    I have been fasting 24 hrs for the last thirty one days and exercising everyday with one day of cardio and one day of resistance. I also sit in the sauna for forty minutes after exercising. I have lost eighteen pounds and my blood pressure has dropped significantly. I feel better now than I have felt in years. I’m sixty two.

      Kinda the same for me. 6 months ago, I started OMAD. I drink water all day and eat nothing until after work around 5pm. Then after that meal I'll go walk for 3 hours straight because that's the only exercise I like and can do, and no gym, no membership is needed so cheap too. But in between those 3 hours every 30 minutes and when the timer starts and ends I do 30 sit ups as well. I haven't been keeping track of weight numbers at all but I've gone down 5 pants sizes and 2 shirt sizes. 🙌

    I did this back in 2024 and lost 33lbs in about 3 months. I felt great! I learned to recognize body cues and differentiate between necessary hunger and appetite. If I felt like I needed to eat before my fast timeframe passed, I would just have a raw vegan or vegetarian lunch with fruits, veggies, nuts, and occasionally yogurt or cheese. Currently working my way back to it after falling off for the last year.

    Loved the presentation, thank you. I started my current weight loss / wellness journey about 5 months ago. I simply delayed breakfast and ate smaller portions. I was already intermittent fasting then and didn't know it 🙂Technically, I was breaking my fast (including more recently as I started OMAD by maintaining a small amount of sugar and cream/milk in my coffees. I was still winning though, as the scales were more friendly to look at as each week went by. As I eventually went onto OMAD about a week ago, I went pretty hard and completely phased out sugar and cream / milk from my coffees. That is another challenge on its own but so far so good. Hunger is still up and down during the day but getting easier to dismiss. Resisting the scales now to once weekly to keep any doubts out of my head more with daily fluctuating weight readings. This is all complemented with some vitamin, fiber & electrolyte supplements along with a little walking exercise and plenty of water. My wife and I are in it together and we are in our 50's & 60's. Personally, I am 180cm (about 6') and at the start about August last year I was 115kg (about 255lbs). The last weigh in on January 29, 2026 I was at 95kg (about 210lbs). I would like to be at 80kg but not obsessing over it. Loving the journey and learning a lot in the process.

      The key to Omad is lots of protein and healthy fats I take 2 eggs and Whole Avocado,complex carbohydrates like sweet potatoes,plantain , vegetables and a fruit or blended fruit juice...but you don't need lots of fruit when you have Avocado,typically an Avocado has all the 20amino acids and high levels of HDL which is good cholesterol.

      I've been doing the 16/8. Dinner being the last meal or my one meal a day. I do bring a protein snack or shake with me to work just in case I'm feeling like a need some help during my 8-hour window. And of course, water bottles with electrolytes. Its working well for me, I think. When dinner rolls around, I'm not starving but I'm ready to eat. I do admit that I could be making better choices for my one meal a day. That's next week. Ultimately, I'm building up to a 36 - 48 hour fast. 72 hours sounds a little out of reach for me right now.

      That’s actually pretty natural. If you’re not hungry, forcing breakfast usually isn’t necessary. Hunger signals tend to get more accurate once you’re not eating around the clock. If two meals feels good and energy is stable, that’s a solid place to be.

    I've been doing this for years and it 100% works. The best approach is as exactly stated. First two weeks, I recommend to begin with skipping lunch. Then weeks 3-4, start pushing breakfast into late morning, have smaller portions and get used to the feeling of the hunger that comes with that. Then around week five, stop breakfast. I only do it twice a week, take a break for a while, then go back to it. 44 years old and have 11% body fat. I don't have even a tenth of the health complaints most people have in their late 30s.

    ER doctor here. Kudos on the video, just two pointers.
    1st. Marine or salted water is a big NO. Your body has a system that helps with electrolyte control, they’re called the kidneys. If you think you need salts, use an isotonic beverage like Gatorade, or even better, some oral rehydration salts that are used when you have a GI infection.
    2nd I wouldn’t recommend this if you think you’re going to need the energy in the near future. For example, I don’t do it if I am working on a shift, because I don’t know if I am going to need energy for performing CPR and/or thinking my way through a solution or treatment for a patient that needs emergency care, I just can’t allow my self the chance of low sugar if a patient life depends on it.

Fasting (that’s what we are talking about here after all) doesn’t need to be every day. The recommended goal is 3 to 4 times a week. What I mean is, since my shifts are 24 h once or twice a week, I can “skip” those days, no big deal about it.

    I’m 55 and since leaving school and home at 16 I’ve only ever eaten 1 meal in the evening and sometimes even forget to have that . Now and again late at night I may feel hungry but I’m not eating before bed. I’ve never felt hungry the next morning when I get up on those times and carry on till that evening not even thinking about food . I just think we all get used to however we eat .

      Same here. Learned from my dad in the 70’s. Guess you just used to it over time.
