Ok...my nightmares can start again 😕. Trying to get past my surprise crash and yours is EXACTLY the same except you looked completely in control until you weren’t! Here’s my guess (I’ve had lots of time to think about this 😢). On THAT jump, you compressed into it ( because you were going really fast). At the lip you absorbed the fork extension with your arms keeping the front wheel low and rolling on the ground. As the rear wheel reached the top you kept your legs stiff, causing the rear to launch. You were helpless and along for the ride. Thanks for posting this. I really hope you’re recovering ok. Any real damage or just getting the shit kicked out of you?
Take a lesson in jumping, you were casing everything. Nothing to do with the bike. You can’t just let speed be the only thing that lets you clear the jump, some skill is involved.
Glad your ok that was gnarly. It's weird at dv on both tsunami and tidal wave, many jumps are smooth but then you get comfy and that's when things get sketch.
I was lazy, tired, last run and went more aggressive. This spelled disaster. I was leaning too far back and the rear shock pushed the bike over because i wasn't in attack position in the jump.
Hey I as well crashed very recently on this trail doing the same thing landing way nose heavy and totally crashing luckily I had a full face but still got six stitches to the face with no pads keep going man
@@norcaltrailrides5550 Dude, I feel you! Sounded a lot worse than a grade IV. I hope you heal completely and get back out to Utah. Not all of our trails bite back, though plenty do. I went off a small rise in the trail at, well, Strava says 41 mph. Probably not that fast, but still freaking fast. Launched. Landed just like you on the front, except I flew into the hillside and got my leg punctured to the bone by a big rock. Severed the nerve that gives sensation to the front of the leg. Huge gash. Too big for stitches. Still nowhere near healed a month later. Lucky I didn't shatter my leg. Next to my broken collarbone, it was the worst wreck in 35 years on the trail. These wrecks put the fear of God in you to get out there again, but I hope you do!
Regular Guy Mountain Biking thanks dude, I’m all good, xrays good, and I will probably never really know exactly what it was. I answered more detailed on the insta page.
Regular Guy Mountain Biking I’ve been trying to figure it out. Stuntman. I originally thought it was the camera bouncing off the plate. It’s positioned up not down. So there’s a few millimeters between the top of the camera and the chest plate. I thought it was that. I put felt on the plate ....still there. I may turn the camera in the upside position and test. But I also feel it’s intermittent too.
@@norcaltrailrides5550 The clip on the chesty strap can have some rattle to it, nothing to do with the camera. Not sure if this is what you're hearing.
Matt Hoover I have a stuntman. It doesn’t click. The latest vids do have this and I think it’s the upper pack strap cord tapping with my newer backpack. The raptor pack is the only change so I’m going to tuck this under the stuntman strap to see if it fixes the noise.
I was scared just watching this. Glad you are going to be ok. Heal quickly.
Richard Cohen 15 days after and I’m still hurt. Deep deep bone bruising and hashed shoulder. I’m thinking I need another few weeks. Thanks man!

Trail Breaker AC Separation brother! Bump on the shoulder and still some rib pains. Getting better. The clicking on the shoulder is unsettling though.
dayum………. the noises!
Had no idea I even made noise until the edit. My bell was so rung and I couldn’t breath.
I crashed on this trail yesterday and made those same sounds. Could barely breathe. I torn my skin up and gave my shoulder a nice wound.

Glad you're OK. Do you think you hit the back tire? As soon as you pulled up on the lip, theres that loud ripping sound then you instantly go OTB

Oh crap, all was great and then wipeout! Get to feeling better soon.
Bikes Trails and Greenways thanks man!
How did the demon knee pads hold up? I'm curious about the d3 foam.
J&A W just fine.
Lesson to all who ride Parks. Don't leave your motocross shell in the car.
Holy crap man....that was a bad digger...
Terrence McCargish it was an experience, that’s for sure.
What is that clicking in your videos?
probably the go pro mount on the chesty. They give you a rubber piece to cram in there but it isn't perfect.

Mine also makes this exact noise and I can't figure out what it is! Mine is bar-mounted.
Next time you go try NCS
