I visited Biltmore in 2021 before I really started sketching and painting. What an amazing place. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to draw/paint plen air! This collab makes me so happy!

Today is the last day I will be working, retirement has arrived at last, so I will be doing a lot of painting in the future. I love where you live. I lived in Goldsboro, NC for four years. I wonder if you have ever been to one of my favorite places on earth: Brookgreen Gardens near Myrtle Beach, SC? I will be surprised if you haven't been there, but if you haven't, I bet you would find some incredible inspiration there!
I have not. I've been to Charleston many times but never wanted to brave the tourist trap attractions of the Myrtle area. Brookgreen sounds interesting though.

But you did put yourself at a bit of a challenge so I have to say much respect, and your reworking of your tree back in your studio was amazing. I can’t wait to see it over on Patreon. I lived right next to downtown Greenville for almost 10 years but I was not yet a painter and there’s so much there (love falls park) that I now am sad I can’t go plain air to paint as easily as I could have back then
