I totally agree-I was SP fan, but he left more than 35 years. Time to move on and AP is doing a wonderful job! If no LIVE shows, the music fades away along with the band.. Even SP is thanking AP for his works( they are in good terms)
Except you can go listen to live shows he's done recently and his voice is shot.. this is worse than when Augeri had issues. This album just masks the issue, which is also why the band refuses to believe there are any sound issues. I used to be such a big fan of theirs.. even without Perry.. but they are just ruined their legacy time and time again. This new album is such garbage, not one memorable song!
They would have had Deen and some other singer sing the lead vocals if Arnel was not chosen.

How appropriate that this song was released on July 4(Independence Day) Great lyrics, good tempo sound, and the signature collection of Journey musicians are simply amazing!. Neal's solo is sensational! And Arnel Pineda, with a very impressive tenor vocal sound, remains consistent after all these years! Congratulations Journey for this new album, it's worth the wait!!

Yes. The band seems to be back to their uplifting lyrics. Those I grew up to from the album's "Infinity", "Evolution" "Departure", "Escape", "Frontiers". Then "Trial By Fire". Arnel is doing a great job as frontman for the band. I would never criticize or take anything away from him. He is currently the longest frontman Journey has had since its inception in 1973.

Greatest band of all time
I'm not a fan of using the term "classic Journey" because I think that means different things to different people. But I Love how this song just flows! The lyrics seem to move effortlessly and the guitar solo blends in perfectly. And to me, that is what makes the Journey sound, no matter who the singer is.

Journey gives us a song of hope about a relationship which we can also hear and use to not allow politicians to break us down and make us feel defeated. As Journey also says in the song: "Together, we can face it all."
