I flew over from Ireland with my buddy to go to this gig, I was only 16 at the time. I've seen Rammstein 4 times since then most recently last summer in Dublin, this show at the Brixton Academy was the best time I've seen them.
This was the first time we saw Rammstein live. I remember saying to my 2 young boys, because the Brixton Academy is a small venue don't expect much fireworks. I couldn't have been more wrong, the place exploded with fire, flame throwers, and huge explosions. That was it we were addicted to it. Later in year my younger son asked if we could go to the NEC in Birmingham to see them again for his 11th birthday, hell yeah of course. Since 2005 we have gone every time they have visited the UK. We Even went to Berlin a couple of years ago to see them in there homeland. From seeing them from a small venue to playing the stadiums has been a fantastic journey. Long may it last, and certainly looking forward to the next concert. Wunderbar.
I forgot to add that whilst we were at the NEC they were filming. One day my younger son was watching the Volkerball DVD. He suddenly started shouting dad quickly come here, he then showed me and him standing there in the crowd singing along. I was amazed to see it. Although Volkerball was supposed to be filmed from the Paris concert, they obviously cut content from others. Fortunately for me and my son from Birmingham. I often joke that we are Immortal with Rammstein. 😂
This was at the Brixton Academy. For some reason they didn't play at an arena in London (maybe all where already booked for the days which suited them?) which is why they played three consecutive days in there to go through the equivalent of a sold out arena crowd. That is also why some of the shots don't line up with the next one, as they were recorded on different days.
The London leg of the tour was performed at the Brixton Academy which is a Grade 2 listed building. As such, Rammstein would have been restricted in the amount of pyro effects they were able to use during the performance. The "blood" on Till's face may well have come from the earlier performance of Mein Teil in the set list of it may be what Paul has described as " an old Rammstein recipe" of instant coffee and water that the band used to apply to make themselves appear dirty. Keep an eye on your shoulder. It could be causing you pain for any number of reasons, most of which can be rectified with simple physio or even rest rather than surgery ( I have a winged right scapula and psoriatic spondylo arthritis so have lots of experience of this). Hope the pain etc eases for you soon.
In Flake’s second book, he talks about how they used a mix of instant coffee crystals and water to paint on themselves before a show, to make themselves look all dirty and like they’d been at work in a factory. I think that’s what the ‘blood’ is on Till’s face, it looks too dark to be actual blood. Flake himself, at least the way he tells it, had to start using a separate mix of regular and decaf coffee crystals because he was absorbing the caffeine through his pores, and it was making him all jittery and sleepless.
think this is Hammersmith, Rick, which is a indoor arena, and the blood probably from 'Mein Teil' and this was the 'Vólkerball tour and might be wrong but this was before Neimes and we all know how good that concert was..

Shoulder issue sounds like bursitis. It takes time to heal. Hopefully not an impingement, which doctors are eager to do surgery for, but later papers show that the issue might return nonetheless later again. Just rest the shoulder and wait it out =)
