I did a am4 build 4 or 5 months ago and absolutely love it. i went with a rx6800 though. I would have got the xt but i was already slightly over budget, but it has no problem running most games in 1440p ultra. starfield and a couple other newer AAA titles i had to bring a couple things down but still close to max. Before that I was rocking a quad core FX cpu with a gtx 1060 with ddr3 1330mhz ram on 1080p 60hz monitor. so quite an upgrade imo.

There is too much obsession with having the latest. I’ve got two old systems.
My main system has an i9-9900k on a Z390, 32GB DDR4, and just this week upgraded GPU to an RTX 4070Ti Super from the 2080Ti I had in there for about 5 years. I play at 1440p and it does everything I want it to and is enjoyable, which really is the unquantifiable metric of when to upgrade.
I also have a much older one which I use for older games that has a 4790k at 4.5Ghz, 16GB DDR3, and an RTX 2070. It gets the job done comfortably at 1080p.
Funny thing is I build and upgrade PC’s for friends and family, and they get newer.

    My recent build:
Video Card: Sapphire Pulse 6650XT - $200 - 9% slower than the 6700 for $200 new is a steal right now.
(all 3 items below were $240 total)
CPU: 5600X - CPU isn't the issue with games at 1080p on this gen - cheap as possible as this isn't the final CPU it will have. The MB has plenty of future upgrade path for later on.
Case: Cooler Master Q300L v2 - took the screens off to improve airflow. Easy "fix".
Power Supply: Corsair RM750x. - modular.
Thermalright Burst Assassin cooler - $20
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB kit - $48.
ASUS 550M-A - $105 - This board can handle the latest previous gen X3D CPUs, so a good future upgrade path when those are cheap.
    SSD: Crucial P3 Plus 1TB - $68
$681 and no used parts. The case is black on black with the RGB ram being the only color in the build. It also is a much smaller case. FPS in games is only slightly slower than his setup. The most expensive part aside from the CPU and video card was actually the power supply. I splurged here to get a clean case layout/look. $650 should be easily doable as the system only needs a 450W power supply. (CPU and video card at max draw is barely 300W) 750w was me future-proofing it.
FPS in Cyberpunk is about 5 fps less. Hardly worth noticing at this price.

Change your cpu amd ryzen 5 7600x3d better performance than 7600x when it's game because of 7600x3d L3 cache 96mb and 7600x only L3 cache 32 mb . I'll stick with my Ryzen 9 5950X with 128 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD Boot drive, 1 TB NVME Game drive, 10 TB HDD storage drive, and an RTX 4070 Ti Super. Should be pretty much future-proof for at least the next 10 years.

I want to build a PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 16GB RAM, and a 1GB NVMe SSD. I'm confused about which graphics card to choose between the RTX 3060 12GB and an AMD graphics card. I want to play AAA gaming titles at 1080p and 1440p, but I also want to do RUclips live streaming and video editing on this PC. So I'm confused about the GPU. And yes, I know 16GB RAM is very low for productivity, but my budget is a bit low right now, so I chose 16GB. I'll upgrade the RAM in the future.

if you want to go pure performance, cheap out on the case and cables, and used that extra 50ish dollars on a better gpu or a 5700x3d chip. You would be surprised how much that extra $50 would go in terms of performance.
