Excellent content!! I have had mine for almost a month now and today doing chicken so watching content for ideas and seasoning. Excellent work Sir hope this post finds you grilling on this fine Sunday.
I bet I've seen a hundred Rambler videos. A few of them will address the tray that catches the charcoal, and that it has a little tab and a square hole at the front to keep the tray from sliding out. Most vids show the tray easily coming out, but a few have said it's tricky to remove. Tricky? How about impossible! I have had my Rambler a couple of years now, and I have never been able to take it out to empty it. I have to use my shop vac to get the stuff out of there, but that's a hassle. I've tried to hammer the tab flat, and that doesn't work. Is it just me, or am I missing something obvious? Okie Joe was no help. Texas Proud! 🇨🇱
Hay! Those turkey thighs turned out great! They look to have a good golden crust! I like your Oklahoma Joe's Rambler Tabletop. I might have to get me one of those! Thanks for sharing, stay safe, and have a great day! Just subbed your channel!
Thank you for watching and oh yeah they had golden color to them. If you get the rambler, you won't be disappointed. When it's just me eating, I love to cook on it. Thank you for subscribing. I appreciate. More vids to come!
Hey Moe, I have had the Rambler for a while and never smoked on it. I guess I didn’t think I could get it right. I just smoked some chicken thighs and they turnt out amazing! Thanks for the advice.
Lol I just asked you to make a video smoking on the Rambler in another of your videos... and you already made it. Good job man, that Turkey looked good.
Those thighs looked great! Thanks for doing this...I was thinking about a set up like this also, the only thing I would do different is put water in the drip pan and maybe add another water pan in the area that you left open (where the other grill grate would have been).
Thank you for watching. I wanted to put a drip pan then decided not to. I'm starting to get used to not using water/drip pans now. Happy you enjoyed my video.
So when you are smoking on this grill, you want the meat to be under the top vent and the charcoal opposite of it for the smoke to travel more towards it before seeping out the top correct. But when direct grilling you'd want the opposite. Charcoal below the vent correct?
Correct on the smoking part. Meat underneath the smoke stack and opposite the charcoal/wood. Grilling charcoal can be placed anywhere underneath your food.
I been wanting to see how this baby smoked I'm going to.be buying one asap for me to take on the road so now know not only does it grill well but it even smokes really well
Hey man! Great content- I’ve seen a couple of your videos with this product and appreciate your knowledge. Do you think I will be fine smoking with this on my balcony in an apartment complex? I am on top floor I just don’t want complaints from too much smoke passing through to the neighbors. Looking to buy my first grill and I think this may be it over the new lodge sportsman pro.
Thank you for watching. I'm glad my videos have been a help to you. In apartments always use caution. People gonna say not to do it, but I've seen pictures and videos of people barbequeing on their balcony. If smoke doesn't travel to your neighbors you should be fine. Just depends on how your neighbors are, you know? The grill is small, good use on a balcony. Set it on something that won't catch on fire.
@@MoesBlackGoldBBQ I just bought the Rambler it comes tomorrow- stoked. I learned you are unable to grill on balconies in California in apartments. Luckily I have some cool areas to grill in the complex though so I don't mind wagoning it over to a spot with my dog and just grilling. I was torn after learning this as the Rambler is slightly heavier than something like the Weber Jumbo Joe or the Akorn Jr., but the surface area, cast iron grates, and adjustable charcoal level sold me. I'll let you know how it goes! Your content is great man, thank you!
You're going to love the Rambler. I feel the only down size to the Rambler is its weight, but it just shows how well and thought out the Rambler is. Everything you mentioned, makes up for the weight. Its a tough little grill.
I like both. They are both dependable, constructed well. The Rambler has 218 Sq inches in cooking space while the Jumbo Joe has 240sq. I like the look of the Rambler compared to the Joe, as the Joe is a look alike of the Weber Kettles. If you have a Weber Kettle, that's what you are basically getting with the Jumbo Joe. If you want something different, than go with Rambler. It cost more, but you are getting a different looking grill. But I will tell that the Jumbo Joe is a lot lighter than the Rambler. I can carry the Joe with 1 hand and I need 2 hands to carry the Rambler. When it comes to cooking, I have yet to cook a bad meal with either grill. Both grills I can grill or smoke my meat. I love them both, but personally I like cooking with the Rambler.
I just bought one of these for my husband for christmas. It looks like the best small grill for a reasonable price right now.
Thank you for watching and you purchased a great gift. He will enjoy it.

Thank you for watching! It's a great/fun grill. It is one of my better purchases.
I've owned a Rambler for 18 months. Great grill and smoker
It is. It is a heavy duty grill that will last a long time.
Been researching tabletop grills for camping. You just sold me on the Rambler. Great job!! Those looked real good.
Thank you for watching and glad I could help on your decision. Its a well built, dependable tabletop. It gets the job done.

Thank you. I hope my video helped. How is the Rambler?
Lol I just asked you to make a video smoking on the Rambler in another of your videos... and you already made it.
Good job man, that Turkey looked good.
Lol im one step ahead, but I will consider trying the snake method.
Excellent video!!! Like the smoking, makes it look so simple.
Thank you for watching! It's easy to smoke on the Rambler.
That's a cool little cooker, I might get that over those Weber travel size ones.
Thank you for watching! I love it. Its little, but fun to cook with.

Nice vid 👌 like the travel size take anywhere bbq or smoke 24-7 😃
It is. Perfect size to travel with.
I have the Oklahoma Joe’s Judge Grill. I smoke the same way on it. Might have to get the Rambler for camping. Keep on grilling 👍🏻
The Rambler is nice to take on trips. I have not had an issue with it.

I been wanting to see how this baby smoked I'm going to.be buying one asap for me to take on the road so now know not only does it grill well but it even smokes really well
It handles smoking perfectly. Im hoping to take it to the cabins sometime this summer.
Thanks a lot sir! I just got my Rambler delivered today! Thanks for the smoking tip!
You're welcome! You're gonna have a blast with your Rambler.

Would you recommend the Weber Jumbo Joe 18 or this?

nice cook
Thank you for watching.
Why you can only use 1 side of it?
I did it this way because I was indirect cooking.
Nice! Is it better to do it that way?
Yes, if you want to cook this way. If not just grill your food over your lump or charcoal briquettes.
