I want to be certain of what I'm doing, and for me that means rereading the series and getting a thorough understanding of this relationship. I always figured that since Piper hadn't realised she was bi she didn't fully know herself and so felt that that was getting in the way of her having a continuous relationship with him. If she had realised sooner than perhaps they'd still be together till Jason's end came or might have gotten back together before that. But I don't think it would've added or taken anything away from her grief when he did die. In any case, even when she didn't know herself fully, she loved him and he loved her, and while she was able to put her life back together and find new love again, he would always be her first love as well as a great hero.
I agree. They were forced to deal with those fake memories, and Piper was pushed by Aphrodite (as well as her siblings at Camp Half-Blood, they were taking bets on them) even when she was still struggling to make sense of everything. So for Piper to discover who she is, she has to cast off all those expectations, which included their relationship. I think it all comes down to Piper's wish to fall in love on her own terms. However, the understanding and care she developed with Jason in Heroes of Olympus was something real, so that's why they were still close even when things are weird between them.
@@gumoa2866 we were warned from book 1 that heroes seldom have a long and happy life. In any case I suppose that it's still better than his namesake, neither of them abandoned the other for the sake of ambition.
I'm sorry, but nothing beyond 5:40 is canon to me. I refuse to believe that Piper would just dump Jason out of the blue, after everything they've been through.
I agree, they spent several months at the camp together before they even went on the quest on the ship , and their relationship flourished, so it doesn’t make any scene. They have so much in common , plus they share trauma. And when we see her and his point of view about each other at Heros of Olimpus, we can tell that their relationship is exactly like Persabeth. That’s why they got into my heart and I couldn’t stop crying when I found out they are not together, like I would have cry if Percy and Annabeth broke up. This hurt me so much.
Exactly it’s fucked up and I hate that they’ve changed pipers sexuality as well and it just shows that Rick is only trying to get lqbtq members to read his books too which is fucked up

Rick doesn't need to make them date the same sex to make them bi, he just needs to make them bi, he doesn't need to make such an awful ship with even less chemistry than Jasper
