Well I just pick musics that I enjoy, my tastes are probably different than everyone else's. Soundtracks like "Ghost" by camellia are just not my taste, so after one of these charts I stopped making that type of songs. I don't like specific "genre", I just have 3 expectation for songs: - "The main melody must have a much much greater volume than background." Now obviously, this became very hard for artists nowadays because they just tend to like very confusing musics with background so noisy, examples would be infinite strife (60% to end) or arcana eden (0% to 40%), these songs all fail my expectations. Songs that does satisfy my expectations are like pentiment or defection. - Simple melody that does not sound disturbing. Now I will use "Ghost" as an example again, (Sorry to Camellia Fans...) so ghost's main melody is high pitched screetching sounds, which does sound disturbing to me. However, this song on the other hand, is not disturbing at all. You can relax by listening to it, maybe not now, but you will like it if you get used to it. - Few layers of sounds. Now some may say that a rich layer of sounds are stronger and more appealing to them, but that is personal preference. I am not syaing that it is bad, but I just like simple sounding stuff, not like too much layer combined all together. So that is for sound, my expectation may be different from yours, but hey, charting a song you don't like is meaningless, right? Yes I will definitely focus on gameplays in the future, hopefully one day, I can make a low bpm "11" chart without using crazy reverse hands, but for now, that is probably the best I can do. 🙏
Hold on, if I misunderstood, and you meant that the judgement sound is too high, I can change that in next chart, just reply to this message and tell me which one did you mean, is it the judgement sounds that is too bad? Or the soundtrack itself awful to you.
@@atthespeedbeyondlight9341 I didn't mean that. I can't find your notes sync to any melody and many taps and arcs are meaningless. Also the most suitable difficulty is probably a 9, so you have to make unwise pattern choice to meet up the 11 difficulty.
@@Syltheral Yes suitable difficulty is probably very low, so certain patterns don't fit... and this probably the cause of some "meaningless notes and arcs". I don't know what to do with this because I don't want to chart future 9s, it is tedious for me, so I will just be careful with song choice within my expectation.
ok, in my previous charts, I even did y=-0.02, but someone pointed out that it looked like as if it is stuck to the track, and it does not look very nice, so I lifted it up to y=-0.01, now you are saying that y=-0.01 is bad, what is the reason? I don't find anything disturbing with this one. Also, what do you mean with "disturbing in sound"? Do you mean the soundtrack is bad or the judgement sound too high. Last thing here, what is SFX and how does it create major offsync??? Sorry I just don't know all these technical computer stuff...
Major offsync is your chart don't sync at all but this isn't the case. Your current problem is pattern misuse. Pentiment pattern is one of them as I expected but it just awful for me(and disturbing)(SFX(judgement sound) is fine). Perhaps, you could use crosshand imo, good luck for your next chart. Y= -0.01 isn't noticedable for me because I assume that y= -0. 2 I'm trying to be as nice as possible while I could
@@usagreifer8369 Yes pentiment pattern was used and maybe was not that good? Because the sound is not like punch sounds and it is not sharp sounding at 1:09 when the pentiment pattern was implemented. I will be careful...
The bg is unreadable so id recommend adding a diamond on middle top of the bg The chart is pretty off sync you might wanna add notes DIRECTLY at the songs beatline
Yes, the background is messy, and lots of people want me to add a diamond, but I don't know how to do that, can you tell me how to do it? Thanks. You also said that it is off sync. Idk about that but maybe because the duration of the silence before the song starts messed up the bpm align. I don't know but I will try to make it as close as possible next time. (I did set the bpm right though, because you can tell if there is an off sync, all nots are off sync-ed by the same amount)
@@atthespeedbeyondlight9341 you just need to go to a photo editing website, take a picture of a white diamond and put it on top of the picture and make it a lil tramsparent
I don't want to criticize so I'll keep this as positive as possible. I think you've improved a lot from your previous charts, and that's a good sign, but I believe you should focus a bit more on gameplay side. Like there are still a few moments where it's just very hard to hit notes. To achieve that, it's probably good to start off with making easier charts, I personally think FTR 7~9 is good to go. Apart from that, learning from Arcaea official charts is also a good way to make better charts. I'm not a charter myself so I'm not sure if these tips will help, but I hope they do. Anyway I wish the best for you that you become a good charter in the future!
Thanks for your suggestion, I have a few things to mention here: "Very hard to hit notes". Yes that is the only way that I can bump up the difficulty for this song. (ex. Crazy reverse hands; 0 timing arc flick; incomprehensible spam...) You can go to any charter, and they will say that this song is suitable for a ftr 7~9 only, maybe 10 maximum, but cannot go higher. However, I just want to make it a bit harder since that way, chart looks more "complete". Like in low difficulty charts, it feels very empty, and that is what I would say about lowering the difficulty. (I don't want to lower it) However, in the charts I will release after this, I will choose songs that are more suited for ftr 11 difficulty, to make charting easier for me, and make the presentation better. Therefore, although I don't lower difficulty, I can at least make it "hard" but "fair" (I still don't want it to be too easy though.)
Hi @@atthespeedbeyondlight9341, thanks for responding to my comment! I’m sorry, but I’ll have to go against some of your points here. First thing I’d like to mention is the emotion, or in the other word, the vibe, that the song peovides. The reason other charters tell you that the song is suitable for 7~9 is because the vibe this song gives isn’t something anxious or fast, therefore it’s the best to make the chart at low difficulty. But the way you made the chart and the difficulty are giving the opposite vibe the song gives. The second thing is about purposefully adding challenges to your chart. There's nothing wrong with adding challenges to your chart and make it difficult, but the way you add them into your chart just make me feel like they're an instant decision and isn't put through well consideration. From what I've known, there are usually several "chapters" in songs, which seperated by the vibe/melody changes. For example, 0:10~0:25 and 1:24~1:38 is the same chapter because they share the same melody. Charters know this and also seperate they charts in the same way, and making the same chapters share the same challenges. But in your charts, all I see is you adding random challenges you think of, but not seperating them into chapters. From what I saw in a comment in another video, it appears that you're a Chinese person. And from what I remembered, Chinese parents don't give their children music lessons. Without those, it's very likely going to be a difficult challenge for you to understand the vibes the songs give. Because of that, I strongly recommend you learn to listen to the vibes before you continue making charts, or else people might still have hate on your charts. After all, I still wish the best for you that you become an amazing charters in the future! Cheers, Tata
@@TataOwO One thing you are very right about, I am Chinese and does not receive music lesson on modern style of music.
