Finally listening to a song I truly relate too and I’m not even a huge Mac fan. But this right here hits home so fucking hard. All the weight thrown on some of us at a younger age made us tired. We grew old faster then those around us and we are just tired. Our bodies, our minds and our souls are tired. Even though we shouldn’t be in our youth, our soul has taken a beating that was much wiser beyond our age. Rest easy

Edit: I posted this before reading other comments essentially saying the same thing, sorry about that.
I definitely see that, but I personally feel like the "other side" he sings about is happiness, self-acceptance, recovery, etc. Like, he had a glimmer of hope for change and once he got there he'd see that it really ain't that bad. I might be alone here but I honestly think that makes it sadder, that he could have had this hope for getting better and never had the chance to experience it. That's just my own interpretation though, I don't wan't to claim any kind of authority about what he may have felt. It's heartbreaking either way.

At one point in my life I was suicidal and make a cute sign with a John Legend lyric saying “heaven is not so far” on my ceiling so that when I went to bed at night and woke up in the morning I could be reminded that I could always leave tomorrow. This song speaks to my heart so deeply and it makes me feel so close to Mac Miller’s music ❤️❤️ It hurts my soul to listen to this song and understand the overwhelming feeling he’s expressing... It makes me think that if he could have just found the right thing or the right person in time he might have stayed 😢😢😭 So frikken sad to lose a talented and beautiful artist like Mac Miller when he had so much more to share with all of us

I am blown away and now I am so terribly saddened because Mac Miller clearly expresses here that he was someone, someone much more than just a person. He nails it - describing what it likes to be suicidal. I had alot of depression/ suicidal ideation in my 20's. I found ETT therapy ( Emotional Transformational Therapy) and it cured me. I'm not kidding - in 22 years, I've never had another episode or gotten that low again. I hope he is flying high wherever he is and making his incredible music !!!!

Was going through a tough time in life, felt depressed and just tired. This song dropped and touched my soul and then a few weeks later one of my idols Kobe Bryant and 8 others died. Kept blasting this song and cried so much the following week, like Mac said “Tired of being so tired.” In a way though, this song helps me signficantly and gives me strength to keep pushing forward. Life ain’t so bad. Rest easy Mac, enjoy the summer feeling on the other side 🙏🏽
