It's amazing that each time you mention a shortage of a property, mentionning "hopefully GA4 will add this by the time you watch", I see that indeed it has been updated. Great videos !
Just a heads up that you can overwrite page title in Google Tag Manager. Just handle page_views on your own as custom events rather than relying on 'Automatically collected events'. Then when you send your own custom page_view event, set event parameter name to page_title and the value as Page Path (pick from variable drop down)
Super useful video, thank you! You've given me some great ideas for ways to use this exploration technique that I hadn't considered, which is really brilliant!! One cosmetic point though (hope you don't mind me saying so)... you might want to think about the positioning of your mic when you're wearing that T-shirt, 'Anal Mania' might not be the message you wanted to convey.
My page Titles are too unique to view meaningful trends as they have locations for each page. So I created an event for each page instead but now I still see generic page view events in my event flow. Any way to remove the generic page view event and see the events I am tracking for each page category. I think the page view is required to have set up I would just like to exclude it in my path exploration and just have my page specific events as the ordered events in my event flow. Any suggestions? My other option is to try and parse the page title and try and build something similar in data studio but don’t know if that’s possible or the lift!
Good stuff! I wish we could get more granular than events when looking at new nodes. Looking forward to trying to use this to analyze our checkout funnel by traffic source -- ie paid fb, search etc.
This is helpful. I have yet to figure out a quick/easy way to replicate the UA Navigation Summary report to see the pages visited before and after a page (and seeing entrances/exits all at once was awesome, too). It seems like I'd have to do two page path reports, with the target page set as the starting and ending point. Yet when I try to create a starting point report for a specific page, using "total users" as the metric value, the user flow doesn't make sense. I'd expect 100+ pages listed in step 2 as visitors clicked on the navigation or in-page links, yet I see only one other page. Very frustrating.
Is there an option, if I share this dashboard with a teammember, he could "explore" the path or expand the path by himself ? At the moment I have to expand all knots by myself. 😠😠😠 But thanks for this nice intro! 🤩
Hi Experts I am facing some language issue in Report snapshot area where I am unable to modify the language at the bottom. Could you help understand where and how I can change it?
in literally seconds you solved my frustration of months, I searched everywhere why GA4 was not tracking my purchases... and you said, they're not automatically trackable on GA4, for real?? please share a link to set them up
Hi Julius, is there an option to put a content grouping segment on top of the report? The aim is to analyze a flow for each product category (I divided the categories through content grouping).
Thank you for this video. Very helpful. Question on the date range. I want to use custom date range but it doesn't go back more than 2 months. Is there a solution to this? Thanks!
Julius, can you observe some problems with events and conversions in GA4, on 23 - 24 - 25 august (3 previous days) i dont see my events marked as conversions, registered in july this year, talk to the support, they also see a problem (have a copy of the conversation). Maybe you have some information about it. i have all conversions set in GA4, imported in Google Ads, and there is a problem with those campaigns, that have an optimization for conversions. Thank you.
I know this isn't very relevant to the video, but I can't find a clear answer anywhere on the most useful coding languages for a Conversion Tracking manager/specialist to learn. So far, I only know very basic HTML and a very very little amount of CSS and would like to expand my marketing intelligence. Anything super advanced in tutorials is usually over my head and I would like to understand things better.

I know right? I see that they've added 'Page path and screen class' under 'Node Type' in the Path Exploration template now.
One of the best marketing channels on the internet. Thank you for all the knowledge ❤️

Love using this to see what's causing errors. You should create a video to show how to make error events in GTM
The last part about how to identify error was very practical! Thank you
Thanks man. This is very helpful. I love that you create so targeted and detailed videos on those topics. Appreciate it.
Excelente ese ejemplo de exploración!
You just helped me find that about 6 different pages were all pointing to the same broken link giving customers 404s. Thank you.
Great Video as always Julius! Thank you !
Thank you, Julius. As always, super helpful.

Wonderful video! Can you help me understand how I can segment New Site Visitors when looking at the Path exploration report?
Good stuff!! this is really useful!! thanks!!

So it looks like they added "page path" as a node type. Have you created an updated video since then that focuses on that as well?
Yes, they added. But there is no need to uodate the video just for that

And what if the page I want to track is in the middle of the path, not the starting or ending point?

Good one man - Keep going! Very helpful indeed

All of my events are not showing as options in path exploration. Why is this? I don't have a limited time frame and should be seeing more events.
How would that page Path tab work? What would it do
This is amazing, thank you!

i am not able to change the timeline from custom to other

hi, i can't share the exploration report to my team. could you tell me step for share the exploration reportment?
Top right corner of the exploration. Then your team will see it in their list and will need to make a copy
How can I use path exploration to track a visitor through my site when they land through a UTM coded campaign?
You can use a session segment for that where you include only particular campaign's data
this guy is great
I know this joke is infant but I can't help it. Pause at 0:27, the shirt says Anals mania 😂. Jokes aside, good video and thanks for the insight.
Love it.

Javasctipt, possibly PHP (if you are dealing with php websites)
muchas gracias
Can't find errors in the event name in my GA4? Could you help?
You need to send this event yourself. It's not some standard event that is available in every property.
@@AnalyticsMania Is it possible to tell us how to create this event? Probably by tracking the 404-pages?
@@AnalyticsMania Thank you Julius
@@lucamurgia7577 Did you figure this out? If so, how?
WHY doesn't this report with the 'start over' already selected so it's blank. Took me forever to work out how to work this stupid thing
... aaaaaand Page Path is now an option 🙂
Finally!
