      Thanks for watching and the comments Michael! Yes, it’s a great way to be able to access the rear of your kayak. It’s also a comfortable way to change your position and just dangle your feet in the water for a little bit.

    Ive got the bigger brother to this one called the Yukon. Ive had it for 2 summers now and many fishing trips and I love it. Very comfy for hours out on the water, very stable, paddles great and has held up very very well as far as durability goes. Ive made a few changes to it but nothing major or expensive. Another thing I like was I found it on sale for $400 when it bought it. Which give me the extra money for a nice carbon fiber bending branches paddle. I really dont see much reason to spend a ton of money on a kayak when you can get these Lifetime ones so cheap.
    I would recommend doing the paddle holder strings different. They are almost like a shoe string just stuck in the holes. They will sometimes just fall out when you try to put your paddle in. I used some wellnuts in the holes to fasten down some d-rings then tied the bungee to those. It works a lot better.

    • @LifetimeProductsAssembly
      @LifetimeProductsAssembly 3 года назад +1

      @@dngendron This is not a defect. This is part of the blow molding process. You see the mixing of the multi-colors more distinctly at these bow and stern parting lines because this is where the plastic is being pinched off in the mold. When we cut off the excess plastic, it is at these points where you are seeing both layers of color.
      This doesn't affect the integrity of the kayak. This is just what it comes out looking like when we do the multi-colored kayaks.

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  2 года назад +1

      Hi there Nick, are you taking any water over the bow or over the edge of the boat when you were paddling? Or, is it just normal paddle drip that is falling inside the boat? As long as your hatch cover is closed securely, paddle drip should not get down inside the hull. One thing you should definitely check out is the scupper holes underneath. Sometimes when they mold boats, little cracks are exposed inside the scupper holes and it can leak that way. It is pretty rare, but not outside the realm of possibilities. Put your boat up on a sawhorse and fill it up (inside the hull) with some water to see if it leaks out anywhere in the boat. That will tell you where any leaks are.

      Hi there, I don’t believe that it does. I no longer have the kayak, I think it just is one position for the back

    Does anyone know where I can purchase this for $350 like is said in the video?

      Walmart sells it for $350. You might have to order it on their website though, if the stores are empty.

      I recently found one at a local Wal-Mart. It said sold out online but there was one in the store.

    How does it cut through the water?

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  2 года назад

      It wasn’t bad, very similar to other 10 foot sit on top kayaks that I have paddled like The wilderness systems Tarpon 10 foot.

    Is this ocean safe?

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  3 года назад

      No, I would just keep this to the Bays and protected areas. If it is very calm and forecasted to remain very calm off shore all day, you could probably take it off the beach. Not really design for heavy wake or surf.

    Watched your video, I love it when to said "they sent it to me for my unbiased review". There's no way you are going to bash this kayak or tell people what you really think about it. But I get it, if you did you probably would not be getting very much free stuff. If you really wanted to give a unbiased review, you would have to pony up to get it, and just rely on youtube money. One more thing, someone who calls them self (Kayak Cliff) would know there are rotor-molded and blow molded kayaks and would have pointed this out in the review.

      Whatever………….… So, I guess what you’re saying Frank, is that I did not mean what I said or that I don’t say what I mean. I believe I adequately conveyed that this is a budget priced kayak. It’s a great kayak in my humble opinion. It’s not top-of-the-line, it’s not the highest priced kayak. If you’re looking to get into kayaking, which a lot of people are, this is a great boat to start with. I guess, there will always be skeptics out there questioning your integrity…..
      Safe adventuring out there Frank.
