We lost our Rat Terrier/Border Collie to cancer 😢in November. Kept us on our toes every minute of every day for 10.5 years. We are now training-up a Red Heeler pup. so far she's got a different kind of energy, being more moldable and with an off switch(thank god, lol).
My Jack Russell's best playmate for years was a blue heeler. They looked just like these two at play. They would bomb around the stables all day having one adventure after another.
That looks just like my 11 lb rat terrier racing around the dog park running circles around the big dogs. She is shy with new people but put her with a Boxer, Great Dane and a Husky and she has the time of her life!
So funny...we have a Boerenfox dog. it´s a Dutch mixed breed which is also originated from parson Russell terriers and something else . our youngest one looks identical to a rat terrier, and has almost the same carracter. but most funny is to see that his body also always faster than his legs, so he is always tumbling and flipping around when he plays with bigger dogs, just like the rat terrier in the video. it is so funny to see but both will never give up to give up the fight. really love this kind of dogs, there is no better type.
My male rat terrier tends to be a bully because he is scared of bigger dogs. My female one just races up to them and body slams them in the legs to knock their legs out from under them. I think she was a linebacker in a previous life.
They are having fun together but a tiny dog can get injured easily around a bigger dog, not deliberately of course, but people don't realize their size makes them vulnerable to injuries. My friend just lost his toy dog who had to be put down due to a slipped disk in his back. He was very young.
I'm sorry to hear that. Thank you for your concern. Thankfully they are still playing together and being silly. The terrier definitely lets him know when he gets too rough.
We adopted a 3 month old Blue Heeler Rat Terrier mix about 7 months ago and she plays like this with our Boxer Lab mix. She's a bit bigger though, basically got the Heeler's height and Ratter's build.
#1 LOVE THE DOGS PLAYING #2 EVEN BETTER, LOVE THE MOW JOB THAT GOES "AROUND" THE PICNIC TABLE, LOOOOOOOL #3 NOTHING SAYS "HEY MAN MY TIME IS FAR TOOOOOOOOO VALUABLE, I CAN'T JUST STOP AND SPEND 90 SECONDS MOVING THOSE PICNIC TABLES" #4 BESIDES, PEOPLE LOVE SITTING AT PICNIC TABLES WHEN THE GRASS IS HIGH ENOUGH TO TICKLE YOUR BALLZ. LOOOOOOOL

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope your Red Heeler brings you many years of joy.
The terrier has a ferocious warrior spirit and the healer is graceful and agile

They grew up together and love to play!

They love to play!
LOVE IT! Just add beer and you got just about everything anyone could ever want.
That is very true
Two farm dogs. My grandparents grew up on farms and a lot of people kept rat terriers. They’re adorable but they also live up to their name!
They are great dogs and I can't imagine not having them around. They bring a lot of joy.
Blue Heelers (and Red Heelers) are formidable dogs.
They are. My heeler is very sweet too.

Hahaha. Terriers have such awesome personalities!
Vicious animal encounter on the Serengeti plain.
My rat ha Dina Marie is just like this no off switch tiny packs of dynamite,,,,
They are! So much fun. They make me laugh often.
Terrier is always going forward
My heeler needs a buddy eventually. Considering a rat.
They are great dogs
We have a 7 month old female Red Heeler and she’s getting a 2 month old Decker Rat Terrier brother soon. Hope it goes well 🤞
Sounds like that will be a great pair! Best of luck.
My money's on the terrier!😅
🐾BIG DOGS🐾 in little bodies! HAHA! Lots similarities with Jack Russell breed too... 100% fearless! nice video! 🙂
I love terriers. They are the best!
@@HHHGMBP agreed! I always wanted a "big" dog until I met a terrier. Personalities that never get old!

The rattie won! We always win!! 😆
Indeed!!!
Ratter feisty.
She sure is!
My BC/Blue Heller has a rat terrier friend at dog park, they do this for hours.
I bet that is super fun to watch
@@HHHGMBP Its insanity. My girl does roll on her back so the little one gets some jabs. Love it when dogs get along.
Lucky Blue!! AMF if he's a rat!!!
