Some tips for u
1) sighn up with deliveroo n just eats n 1 other so u have 3 running at same time avoid Uber eats
2) dont put hot food near cold drinks in the same bag
3) central London isn't the best place ngl to many delivery people go somewhere else
4) get a electric bike it makes it way easier
5) best time is lunch time n dinner time

To not even make £100 off that shift is so peak. Surely these companies should be paying people an hourly rate for being logged in on top of this even if it was just like £3 an hour or something?
For them to pay you anything, you would then be an employee and they would have to pay you at least minimum wage.
Now do this challenge with an electric bike or a scooter and see how much money or less you can make
Way more on e-bike, imo, I see them shoot up past our house and we are on a steep hill, my escooter leaves real cyclists up this hill. God I love electric scooters, the e-bikes might be a bit much though over 1,000 watts.

When you registered as a cyclist you only get low mileage deliveries I’m on deliveroo n even when it’s not busy I still make 6-12 pound a hour and 6-9pm I make £15-30 a hour

I did Just Eat for around a year when I first moved to London and it was better because you got paid hourly so it didn't matter how busy the area you were in was. Had a few uber eats and deliveroo riders try to brag about how they could make more than us but there were banging out 3-4 orders an hour across multiple apps and they couldn't afford the quiet periods. Plus Just Eat provided the bikes/moped at their hubs at the time so we didn't have to think about maintenance. It was an okay experience in the summer but when it's cold/raining and you are outside for 8-12 hours it's horrible. Especially when I switched to using a moped, my hands would be freezing even when wearing gloves and we got priority over the E-Bikes for deliveries so we had very little downtime. It worked for me at the time when I was uni because you could literally hand pick your hours the week before but I would never do it now especially if had to buy my own E-Bike with how prevalent bike robbers are in London.

As someone who has done deliveroo for 7 years, its definitely got its fair share of ups and downs. Harry it seems as if you chose the worst time of year to do it tbh 😂 this time of year is always slow. Absolute best time is winter, so how about trying your 48 hour challenge in the winter? 😏

I’ve been doing deliveries for 7+ years there is a big biased towards bicycle accounts, especially in London that would explain why it was so quiet for you motorbike accounts get the most then its cars and lastly bicycles

As a long term rider, close calls have become so calm now... A good rider though knows how to manage himself on the road and times close calls like that easier the more experience you get.
If you're new to it you'll waste a lot of time you should know which order you have to pick its not good idea to delivering a order to dead area but if you choose the one that going to busy area or there some restaurants around you'll come back with order you'll double the money, sometimes the app give you a good order or double by 12 or even more but it far lil bit to dead area at that moment you're facing a trap so don't fall for it if you go and come back with bicycle you'll waste your time and lose your power

It’s hard work now with all the people renting accounts and flooding the market with drivers. I’ve been delivering for 3 years now and started on Uber, i could make a decent wage with one app. Now i have 3 apps and struggle to make over £250 a week
Yeah, that's the reason why you won't earn much money even while running 3 delivery apps simultaneously. Delivery companies are way more crowded nowadays. My city is an perfect example. The amount of incoming orders haven't increased significantly, but sure driver's quantity ready to take it and deliver it to you - sure they did by much. Hence why drivers are taking less orders and earning less money. Too many drivers, for not too many orders. Especially around the most popular districts and city areas.

What’s daft is that apparently you are meant to be able to earn well if you are efficient but Deliveroo obviously calculate your fee based on distance from restaurant to the customer as if you collect it immediately (which often doesn’t happen) but it doesn’t take into account your distance from restaurant (some are way out of the main zone) or how far from your next order you’ll be left and obviously you’ll most likely wait a while. Basically it’s a nice way for everyone to have people waiting on them for free and only pay when they want something, but even then they aim to pay you an amount so little that even if you were getting non stop orders you’d be getting less than min wage most of the time

London is a very busy place and you have lots of competition. Smaller cities (around 300k people) like Plymouth, Derby, Southampton or Portsmouth will probbably be better because there will be still lots of clients but less competition.

I do Uber/Roo in Kent, on a custom built 45mph eBike. 🤣 I average £15ph and only work lunch times and evenings. The best I've earned is £36ph but it's easy work £100 in about 6 hours some people don't even earn that a day! 💯💪🏻
