Dex is actually the shining star of this Tablet....i use the Plus actually with Keyboard and Bluetooth Mouse. I use a Type C hub to connect external SSD's and other Monitors. Havent opened my Laptop since i got it

Life is going enjoyable by this duo.. i need no other gadgets as of now
Of course it depends A LOT on what you do on a daily basis. It seems completely useless to me. just like the ipad. because there are no powerful or complete applications in them. Which is a shame considering the power these machines now have.
I didn't think the S9 could output video? Samsung site says it doesn't have MHL
@@reviewplay1157 As much as i am excited about dex , just like you i also realized that what is the point of dex? it only has that same phone apps not like heavy desktop .exe programs and your just wasting/cramming up the space with keyboard for only being able to have a bit more functionality of multi window
The ultimate criteria for choosing a tablet is whether you can handhold it without difficulty doing task(s) it's capable of. Other than that you're better off using a laptop or a PC.

great review. what about the loading time for large file ebooks. i am currently using an sd865 6gb ram tablet. huwaei mate 11 and it has always been my problem

Thanks man! I’ve been looking for something to replace all my paper notebooks and the Tab s9 seems like the best logical choice. I was able to get the upgraded storage for the base price plus education discount so I’m pretty happy about that 😅.

I think it's fine for note taking. For sure the bigger screen on the plus model is the optimal experience. But if the price gap is big I'd just got for the base model.
Amazon renewed is always an option to knock a little off that price tag. That’s what I just did after watching a ton of review vids and browsing through forums.
Ordered it for 530 usd from samsung shop with bank offers and student offer. Pretty good deal.
Samsung Notes is a great app. Unfortunately, Samsung has decided to ban all Samsung phone and tablet users with a non-Samsung Windows PC or Mac from using the app properly.
Yeah they should made a paid version for non Galaxy devices.
If you connect your Microsoft account to Samsung Notes app you can access and edit all your notes either on Windows or Mac with OneNote app
new follower here, love your review, everything was what I needed to know. my only problem is which color to choose for the 9+, I mean I know I'll have it in a case majority of the time but the s pen hmm, lol
Appreciate the follow and feedback! Which color did you end up picking? I personally really like the Beige/White colorway, especially since it comes with a white s-pen, no longer the same old boring black lol.

If you have an external monitor, keyboard and mouse, then surely the size of the screen doesn't matter for desktop work. The you'll have the best of both worlds - portability and desktop usability.
For these in-depth reviews, it would be so much better to know how this handles certain workflows. Rather than spec regurgitation.
Maybe you edited a video, did you write any code on this or did you use Office 365 on it. How does it handle these tasks?
There are so many use cases, but only the most basic get regurgitated.
Tech reviewers, in general, need to start doing better on these 'later' down the line reviews.

At least not in the US. Pretty sure all of the Tab S9 series does not have cellular support.
It has cellular version in europe , i have the cellular version

That S8 looks pretty good. How does it compare to the S9?
If not much more I'd choose Tab S9 any day because of the OLED display.
Overall obviously s9 will be better except battery life. Battery life is better on s8 despite accounting in Battery degradation so imagine how much the gap would be with fresh Battery replacement!

I have been asking Samsung to add texture to the S Pen button for years, so I can avoid pressing it and easily find it at night but still struggling with Samsung with my request.

Thanks again mate! I actually traded in the Tab S8 for the Tab S9. Not looking bank since. Tab S8 was solid, but the Tab S9 is perfect imo.
I shoot in 30 fps. I hope to make one of those sometime maybe in the new year! I plan to move so a setup/room tour is definitely in the idea bucket.
