Of course it depends A LOT on what you do on a daily basis. It seems completely useless to me. just like the ipad. because there are no powerful or complete applications in them. Which is a shame considering the power these machines now have.

The ultimate criteria for choosing a tablet is whether you can handhold it without difficulty doing task(s) it's capable of. Other than that you're better off using a laptop or a PC.

Yes, you can save the note as a Word doc file and then open it in Google docs and it your note there but it may not always translate handwritten notes perfectly.
If you have an external monitor, keyboard and mouse, then surely the size of the screen doesn't matter for desktop work. The you'll have the best of both worlds - portability and desktop usability.
For these in-depth reviews, it would be so much better to know how this handles certain workflows. Rather than spec regurgitation. Maybe you edited a video, did you write any code on this or did you use Office 365 on it. How does it handle these tasks? There are so many use cases, but only the most basic get regurgitated. Tech reviewers, in general, need to start doing better on these 'later' down the line reviews. Spec regurgitation is starting to get old quick! You're welcome!

Great vid! I am still using my Samsung Tab S7 mainly for watching TV shows and movies, so I am not sure if its worth to upgrade to the Tab S9 just yet.
If you're only using it for TV and movies I would say no its not worth it unless you're only spending a max of 200 for a trade in. The OLED is nice, but not necessarily a must have, if you're satisfied with your experience now then run it to the ground.
Overall obviously s9 will be better except battery life. Battery life is better on s8 despite accounting in Battery degradation so imagine how much the gap would be with fresh Battery replacement!

I think it's fine for note taking. For sure the bigger screen on the plus model is the optimal experience. But if the price gap is big I'd just got for the base model.

This was a really great breakdown. The S9 vs S8 video was enjoyable too. Do you still use both? Curious if you shoot in 30 or 60 fps. Would love to see a breakdown of your setup too. Everything has been consistently good from day 1!
Thanks again mate! I actually traded in the Tab S8 for the Tab S9. Not looking bank since. Tab S8 was solid, but the Tab S9 is perfect imo. I shoot in 30 fps. I hope to make one of those sometime maybe in the new year! I plan to move so a setup/room tour is definitely in the idea bucket.
💀Your battery life isn't what i would consider "good" or "decent" with just 3 hr of youtube , 1 hr oh disney . Another thing i hate about devices today is decreasing battery in no use of tablet

Why front camera in indoor low light is very bad?
That S8 looks pretty good. How does it compare to the S9?
If not much more I'd choose Tab S9 any day because of the OLED display.
