Hmmm... I'm a realist painter, so I'm already aware of the movements and artists she discusses. So perhaps that's why I didn't find any problems with it. I found the information quite helpful and interesting. I knew of Vasari, but I wasn't aware of the other art historians who helped "de-Christianize" the meaning behind the art.

Very nice. Her rather obvious bias aside there was interesting information. The reason there are no (there are a few actually) Christian art historians is the same reason there are no Christian art critics (to speak of) and the same reason for the sorry state of Christian art. Christian art has to maintain certain positions in regard to form and representation, and contemporary art does not fit into the scope of a bunch of people who know as much about art as the average person (so nothing). Until Christian artists can be supported by "the church" and free to express their concepts unfettered, most Christian art will be derivative and boring. I am a Christian artist and I approve this theory.
