After a year of muddling thru the guitar. I've found that I'm getting there with melodies, and chords, but a chain of single notes had been a challenge. Losing where I'm at on the fretboard, which string I'm hitting, and flowing through.. Lotsa practice needed. Thank you

I hear you Terrence. I had that problem too. The biggest thing that helped me was to memorize the notes on the guitar. It's a lot of work and a long-term goal, but it sure was worth it.

@@TheGuitarFam Thank you.. My ADHD hates tedious things, but I'm gonna get after it. I also lost my fret hand pinky few years bk. So it can be very frustrating. Thx again

Terrence - FINALLY someone else seems to struggle with the same issues that being for me, FINDING & HITTING the correct String on the Right Hand. ugh. & trying to "read" Tabs with degrees of Dyslexia is a little Nightmare all of its own.
But the Pick & Peck is doing me in. All I do is practice Scales in hopes that I get into my Muscle Memory the POSITION from which to depart and go for the String! I did continue to wonder if perhaps I should try an Electric vs. the Acoustic I'm playing & wonder if you're Electric?.
Wishing you much Luck & while I truly empathize, it's somewhat nice to know I'm not the only one out here! Kindly, JBC in NYC

I dont use picks but im trying to learn. One thing that i find odd even when not using picks (its more evident when using picks) is that when doing solos you still have the other strings playing when you progress with the solo. A friend of mine who is a musician told me that you should always mute the string with the palm of the hand after playing them... Im not sure if he was mocking me or whatever, but it is indeed something that i noticed, bothers me and i dont know how to solve it....
And i see no one talking about this on the internet
